Good food!

I love this place. The food is good and relatively healthy which makes it a favorite of mine. I like getting the Mediterranean salad with salmon on it, or the portabella and goat cheese sandwich. Their fries are good and they have several types of aioli (ok, that's not so healthy), and their... read more

... it is Good and it is Fast... we really like this place to drop in when we just want something to eat in an easy atmosphere. I'm not sure what to call the atmosphere... it is comfortable and spartan and just a nice place to have dinner. Not at all fancy. The method of dinner here is you walk... More

This is a great place for a low-cost, low-carb lunch with a generous amount of food. We liked the salads. Outdoor tables were very nice in the December sunshine. Tin Leaf is only a few blocks from Omni La Costa Resort, where we attended a convention, and well worth the travel at lunchtime.

We ate here twice recently. Interesting place. Order cafeteria style. Grab a seat inside or out and they bring food to you. Wife picked good items, I picked ones I didn't end up liking. The meat loaf was dry. The Belgium French fries were average but I ended up with a bunch 1" long. The sage dressing was like moist... More

Tin Leaf is a lunchtime favorite for my wife & me. Although I've tried a number of different dishes here, I seem to regularly return to the Cali Cubano sandwich. I've had "authentic" Cubano sandwiches at Cuban ethnic restaurants in several part of the U.S., and I guess I'd characterize the Tin Leaf's Cubano as a healthier (i.e. not greasy/fatty)... More

Many of us went to Chipotle for the first time because it was healthy and different. Tin Leaf is too, but actually a restaurant that has tons of delicious choices. Tin Leaf is different from most restaurants and it's all positive. Difficult to put them in a food category. Best reference I can give is they are like Thanksgiving, Christmas... More

My husband and I had a quick dinner here when we visited California for a meeting for his job. I have to be honest, I was looking for a bit of a "guilty" dinner...he wasn't. We'd both been working out but I wasn't really interested in eating healthy. Regardless, we had dinner at Tin Leaf and it was OK. I... More

We own a timeshare at Aviara Four Seasons & discovered this little gem by accident. We loved the fresh fare & huge salad combos. Add in the seasonal baked goodies; awesome Iced Tea & Sodas (with real cane sugar) and you have a great casual eatery that is worth a trip every time we go to Carlsbad. Wish they had... More

First time at this casual and tasty restaurant. Liked it so well we came back two days later with our whole family! Fresh salads, fresh roasted turkey and much more at fair prices.
