I met a friend for lunch, and I ordered the club sandwich. It was well-prepared and very good. The fries were just the right amount of crispy. The servers were attentive. Parking was a bit of a challenge, but a visit to the Daily News is well worth it.

Had been here on a previous visit for breakfast and decided to try lunch. Well worth it. Ordered a BLT and it actually had too much bacon on it! California omelette was excellent.

The review is totally accurate as we can attest. More food than you can imagine for the price. Nice patio setting and great coffee that you can take a cup along to go! Nice touch.

I usually really like this place, but this time, was really disappointed. Ordered the vegetarian omelet, usually they chop up the vegetables small, I had chunks of vegetables in my omelet and really did not enjoy that way, I also ordered a cinnamon bun, that tasted more like a bun then a cinnamon bun. hopefully it was because the famous... It seems pricey for breakfast. Almost $50.00 for two people. But I still enjoy eating there every time I'm in town. It's a treat! Great food, and a nice view of the Carlsbad 5K race!!!

This restaurant served breakfast all day! As well as lunch. Atmosphere is good, menu and food are good, service is good. you may have to wait in line as it is a popular place!

Had a good breakfast at this place, don't let their lack of attentiveness discourage you. When I walked in no one greeted me, when I asked an employee if I needed to be seated I was told to pick any seat. After I was seated I was quickly served. The meal came out fast and the waiter was attentive. I... More

Courteous, quick service. Had a display of old radios which I found clever. The menu was pretty standard. There's a nice patio where the weather cooperates.

It was tasty. But the atmosphere sucked. And some of the employees looked like they were withdrawing from narcotics. The set-up was like a garage sale. But our waiter was pleasant enough

We enjoyed sitting on the very large patio for breakfast. For some reason none of the table umbrellas were up and so talking across the table and around an umbrella was difficult. The food was very good and quite fresh. The eggs are apparently brought in from a nearby farm "nearly" everyday.
