We are pleased to recommend the Broken Yolk Cafe since we visit it often and it has always provided us with good service and a good meal at reasonable cost. On my last visit I ordered a tasty breakfast burrito which arrived in the usual excellent condition. Since I've lost a step or two since my active surfing days, this... More

I love eggs and breakfast in general. I've eaten here a couple of times and although the food looks great, there's just no taste. I've tried their omelets and eggs benedict.

Good family style breakfasts, portions are large enough to share. Be prepared to wait, it's usually busing on the weekends!

Can't say enough good things about the breakfast here. Menu choices include healthy options and pages of omelette choices and much more. The fresh fruit that comes with meals includes whole slices of fresh melon, pineapple, and orange. Ingredients are quality and portions are very large. Servers seemed overwhelmed, but friendly.

My family (wife, son 6, and daughter 3) and I stopped here on our way from San Diego to Legoland. This was the second breakfast at a Broken Yolk (the other one was outside Mission Beach). BY is obviously a chain of restaurants in the area. They serve pretty good breakfast foods of slightly better than your ordinary Perkins. The... More

Good place for breakfast. Large portions. Can bring your pet in the patio. My wife and I share a meal as I can't eat one myself.

Attended wife's company event at La Costa. Had breakfast here twice during the stay. We don't have any places back home that serve Mexican food for breakfast. It is not the only cuisine on the menu, but it was great. I'm hooked.

Ate here twice for breakfast. Both times found service to be excellent. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable and food is fine. This is not a place to go for a gourmet breakfast, but if you are looking for a good breakfast in a resort area, this is the place to go.

Instead of eating our breakfast at LA Costa up the street. Ample portions, friendly service, quick and tasty. We'll be back.
