My family (wife, son 6, and daughter 3) and I stopped here on our way from San Diego to Legoland. This was the second breakfast at a Broken Yolk (the other one was outside Mission Beach). BY is obviously a chain of restaurants in the area. They serve pretty good breakfast foods of slightly better than your ordinary Perkins. The... More

Good place for breakfast. Large portions. Can bring your pet in the patio. My wife and I share a meal as I can't eat one myself.

Attended wife's company event at La Costa. Had breakfast here twice during the stay. We don't have any places back home that serve Mexican food for breakfast. It is not the only cuisine on the menu, but it was great. I'm hooked.

Ate here twice for breakfast. Both times found service to be excellent. Portions are generous and prices are reasonable and food is fine. This is not a place to go for a gourmet breakfast, but if you are looking for a good breakfast in a resort area, this is the place to go.

Instead of eating our breakfast at LA Costa up the street. Ample portions, friendly service, quick and tasty. We'll be back.

Love their breakfasts, but one morning the bread we asked to be toasted got burnt. Fortunately when I called back and talked to the manger I was pleasantly surprised when he told us come back and he'd comp us for a new breakfast. Always nice to know that they listen to the customer. Best potatoes ever.

Dove by and it seemed like an interesting place to eat. We day on the patio and waited at least 10 min for anyone to just come and take a drink order. The server was real nice just not around when I needed something like silverware or napkins. It seemed like she was over seated so we didn't make a... More

Normally we stay at a hotel that serves breakfast when on vacation but this time we didn't so we looked up the Broken Yolk Cafe because my son talked it up so much. I am so glad we did. They have so much on their menu, there's gotta be something on it for everyone liking. Our food was great and... More

Excited to enjoy breakfast, we were sadly disappointed. Food was served on plates dirty with dried old food, took way too long to just get a glass of water and we had to ask for the basics such as butter and jam. We even timed it and for 10 min our waitress never even made it to the outside patio.
