Koko's needs a facelift. There is a smell when you walk in the restaurant that is not pleasant. Ordered the "special: of prime rib. It had absolutely no flavor and no seasoning. It was probably one of the worst prime ribs I have ever had. Service was good.

Tried KoKo Beach for lunch today. I had heard good things about the fish and chips, so I ordered the prime rib sandwich. Go figure. It's on the menu as 1/2 lb or beef open face on sour dough bread. I think they underestimate the weight. Slab of beautifully medium rare beef at least 3/4 in thick and slightly bigger... More

We decided to try this place based on several reviews of it being okay. Let me say, the place appeared to be clean but very very dark. It was 5 PM, so it wasn't night time. i even checked to make sure that my sunglasses weren't on, that is how dark it was in the booth by the kitchen. My... More

We were shocked that this restaurant was right at the beach, in the village had great food and priced right! We enjoyed eating here almost every evening. My only dislike was that it is very dated, other than that the staff was friendly and the food was great!

Visited Koko Beach for the first time and really enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food. Place is casual, good prices and food is very good. I had a prime rib that was tasty and my companion had a steak that was "excellent". If you're in Carlsbad, this is a worthwhile visit. . . drinks are very good.

We went to eat here late on Easter. What a nice surprise! The food was so good and the price was unbelievable! Both of us had soup. My husband had clam chowder and he loved it! I had French onion. It was so good! I had teriyaki sirloin skewers and he had mahi mahi. Both were from the "specials" menu.... More

The size and quality of the prime rib dinner are all you can ask for. The craft beer selection could improve as well as the single malt selection, but if you like beef, this is your place.

Koko Beach reminds me of one of those places that cater to old people. It is situated across the road from a very big retirement community so maybe that is their aim. Prices are very reasonable and food varies on what you order. Prime rib good...fish dry and tasteless. Take my advice, take your grandparents there for a 6pm supper... More

Koko Beach is a dependably terrific place! They have great and very reasonably priced specials during the week. I had the Prime Rib and it was done to perfection (as always). My wife had the Mahi mahi. Delicious! Plenty of free parking next to the restaurant and the adjacent parking lot.

I had the shrimp scampi and prime rib. Prime rib was delicious but the scampi was average. The calamari was the BEST I've ever had with house made cocktail sauce so go for the calamari and you'll be happy. Restroom was gross with no soap in the women's so how do you think the employees wash their hands? Gross!
