We went to the 4140 Oceanside Blvd. location, but this Carlsbad location was always awesome. The other location mentioned was just as good, but it didn't look as nice inside. It's just much smaller.

We recently moved to Rancho Bernardo area, and down the street we found a little Chinese Restaurant named Chins Szechwan, in a strip mall...I first ordered take out, and food was so good we have been back twice in last week! Service is great and food is very fresh! Try the Spicy Honey Shrimp, Szechwan Garlic Chicken, and Kung Pao... More

Chin's Carlsbad has now closed. Nearby Overseas Restaurant is available as an alternate and is okay. There's a P.F. Chang's in town also.

Chinese food is not supposed to be sweet for the most part. Everything we got at Chin's was sweet and super Americanized. This is not Chinese food the way it is supposed to be cooked. We have not returned.

We ate at Chin's two weeks ago and some of the dishes tasted a day old. Several of us got a headache the hour after eating. we've been eating @ Chin's for years and over the past 3-5 visits the food quality has really dropped off. Now the restaurant has a "B" rating in the window from the health Dept.

Even though Chin's is a chain the food tastes like the family run chinese restaurants I am used to in Vancouver. The seafood dishes have heaping amounts of seafood and they do a great job of moderating the spicyness to taste.

First thing we heard was George calling a genuine welcome as we arrived. The place looks and smells good. Waitress was very helpful and amusing. We're going back. I like it much better than the other Village Chinese restaurant.

I've eaten at Chin's Carlsbad many times over the years. It's never been any better than "ok". The food lacks flavor, texture and fresh quality. I will not go back there again, it just always leaves me wanting something else.

We were on vacation for our daughter's birthday, so she picked a type of cuisine she wanted for her birthday dinner. She said some type of asian cuisine, so we searched for places near our hotel and this came up. We couldn't have been happier. The hostess and waitress were accommodating and courteous. They made very appropriate menu suggestions for... More

Eating out with a six year old can be very challenging but the staff at Chin's made him feel important and set the stage for an enjoyable meal. Everyone really enjoyed their food choice and the next time we are in Carlsbad we will be sure to eat there again.
