We have lived in Carlsbad for 3 months now, and have been surprised at the abundance of good dining here. Unfortunately, we cannot count Gregorio's in among them. We went there for lunch on Labor Day and it was not crowded. That said, the service was painfully slow. The time between the appetizer being finished and lunch served was at... More

We had the vegetable antipasto salad, egg plant parmesan, and cheese ravioli. All three were delicious, along with the fresh bread that was served. Good service as well.

Made a reservation for 7:15pm, showed up exactly at 7:15 and was told, "just gave your table away...we'll get you a table...." After waiting 40 minutes no table and no priority or concern what so ever! My suggestion to the management, when you take a reservation get a cell phone number you can call before giving away a table OR... More

Appy's were excellent. Service was perfectly unassuming. Casual patio atmosphere. Beer was nice and cold, wine was generously poured!!

We had a large group with several small children on a busy Saturday night and the staff went out of their way to make sure we were well serviced. Timing of food delivery was excellent. Not too long to wait for drinks. Ample portions of food and very delicious. Great variety on the menu. Everybody liked everything they had. Would... More

We tried both the eggplant parmesan and the chicken limone. As you can tell from the title the eggplant parm was incredible! It was layered, like lasagna with ~4 layers. First time I've seen the dish prepared that way and it was really good. The chicken limone was a bit too lemony and was average. Service was also average. I'd... More

Gregorio's has a wonderful selection on their menu. You can get pretty much any standard Italian fare or pizza. The food tastes delicious and you can tell the ingredients are fresh. Located in the heart of Carlsbad, Gregorio's sits on the 2nd floor of a large town square area, with shops on the first floor. Parking may be an issue... More

We were in Carlsbad on vacation for some rest and recreation. Stayed in a B & B and got suggestions from the owner. All but one place was perfect. This was top notch in my book. When on vacation you are looking at different criteria than at home where you know your way around. So the expectations are somewhat less... More

I wasn't happy with the service here nor the food. It was mediocore at best. Our food came cold after waiting for over an hour and it wasn't that good. It really is hard to mess up Italian ...

We go to Carlsbad a lot but never tried this restaurant until now. The good news: the calamari was fabulous and they had a great wine list. Also appreciated substituting the risotto for veggies. The bad news: my halibut was overcooked and the service was a little slow (our wine glasses stayed empty at least half the time.) I ate... More
