Kings has several locations which we've often visited over the past few years. They've been quite reliable for middle of the road seafood. But the Carlsbad location disappointed on a recent Friday evening. The whole experience was mediocre - food, service, drinks, even the booth which was cold and draughty. The dining room was not at all busy. Even allowing... More

I recently visited King's (having remembered it from a previous outlet shopping day a few years ago) with my kids who while young are great in restaurants, even more "adult-oriented" restaurants like this one. The service was underwhelming, nothing specific but the waitress would obviously have rather been doing something else this night. I didn't feel our business was appreciated.... More

This seafood restaurant really has wonderful fish! I had the maccidania nut halibut-wonderful and my husband had a blackened piece of tilapia which had nice heat to it. The Mac n cheese side was really good too!

This is my favorite place to eat in North County. I have never had a bad meal here and the service has never disappointed me. What I love the most are the Grilled Artichoke Hearts with a tall glass of Honey Ale beer and the french bread. The Calamari is so fresh tasting and tender but I wish it had... More

Love the heated patio for a nice winter lunch or dinner. The food is great and the service very friendly. Check out the eclectic menu for a wide selection of food from river, lake, and ocean.

Had a great salad and fried calamari appetizer. The mussels just had that not so fresh taste. This is a seafood place. They were nice enough to take it off our bill. Since we were still hungry, we got the chocolate cake. We asked for ice cream instead of whipped cream. Cake was great. The $5 plus charge for the... More

Lots of choices at this seafood-themed restaurant. The fish tasted like frozen reheated, but it was eatable. The calamari appetizer was tasty. The spicy chowder was thin with bits of over-cooked white fish and no other seafood. Our waitress was pleasant and attentive.

What a nice place, even though you expect a good seafood place near the ocean but we all know that not always the case. We sampled four different fish, chowder & other sides and no one had a complaint. For sure I'll return and try other dishes :)

Yea I know it's a chain but atmosphere is great, service friendly and never had a bad meal here. Had the oyster sampler, fresh, cold and excellent . The seafood Cobb was one of the best I've had. Wish they had one in Texas

We continue to return for the ambience (we like to take a table in the casual lounge area, indoors, or definitely at an outside table on a nice sunny day). The décor has a hint of New Orleans (black wrought iron work on the patios and overflowing flower pots). If you are lucky, the Flower Fields across the street will... More
