Since 1981, Las Olas Mexican Restaurant has served the best authentic fresh Mexican food near the beach! Please join us for margaritas, lunch and dinner specials, full bar and craft beers, Taco Tuesdays, Happy Hour Monday thru Friday till 6 pm, group parties, dog friendly patio dining, great service, and an amazing atmosphere! The menu allows customers a wide variety of options: Build your own seafood, chicken, pork, or carne asada tacos, enjoy delicious favorites like roasted chili relleños stuffed with fall-off-the-bone-tender carnitas, or delight in our seasonal grilled vegetable enchiladas. It's honest food, prepared fresh daily from scratch with wholesome ingredients - never powdered or granulated spice mixes like others tend to use - and their customers appreciate it.Want a Margarita or an ice cold beer? Las Olas Margaritas are famous, and many of our draft beer selections are from San Diego's own incredible breweries. Try the house infused roasted pineapple and jalapeño tequila in a Pineapple n' Chile Margarita some time. It's unique and delicious. Thanks for coming in we really appreciate your business!Visit us online or call any of our three locations for additional information.

Good Mexican Food & Drinks, but always a wait.

I've never had a five star Mexican meal in a restaurant, but Las Olas does a good job. This explains the ever-present crowds, even though it's ACROSS the street from the ocean view. An Encinitas / Cardiff favorite since forever. The carnitas is moist and flavorful. The mixed plates are tasty... read more

Stopped by after a day at the races. A friend recommended it so we thought we'd come for happy hour. Food was okay but nothing that great. Calamari was probably the best thing we ordered. Quesadilla w/chicken was very large & okay. Disappointed in margaritas. Restaurant sits across from beach so on a better day, marine layer had come in,... More

Had fish tacos both ways here (fried fish and broiled fish) Both were outstanding! Service was reasonably quick considering how crowded it was at lunchtime. Margarita's, including a pineapple chile rimmed marg were also very tasty! Directly across from a large public beach.

We took our daughter and grandkids to Las Olas for lunch followed by three hours of sun and fun at South Cardiff Beach. We started with their excellent cheese crisp. Wow! It was wonderful and quite a hit with the kids at our table. The house margarita was refreshing, and when the waitress asks if you want the slightly larger... More

The place we often take out of town guests. Great atmosphere and right acrossed from the beach. Excellent marguaritas and shrimp burritos. Crowded so go early or late.

Being from San Diego, I grew up eating the best Mexican food (in my book). Having been a military wife for 20+ years, I've had Mexican in plenty of other places, but San Diego will always have the best. My sister, son, nephew and I visited Las Olas for an early dinner after a day at Seaside across the street.... More

Get the George's margarita....I don't even think it is on the menu, but they will know! Excellent! And, a superb atmosphere with the beach and ocean and fun people in flip flops. Oh, and the Mexican food is good too. Guacamole! :)

Las Olas is always busy because it is enjoyed by tourists and locals alike, plus it's location (just across the road from the water) is also nice. There is plenty of seating inside as well as on the patio, but be prepared to wait for outside seating on pretty, warm days. We all ordered Mexican food, mostly fish tacos. Being... More
