Good, Standard Chart House Fare

Great location. All tables afforded an ocean view. Good selection on the lunch menu and, of course, lower prices. Service was attentive and timely. This a great atmospheric place and the food is reliable and good.

We wanted to get away from the heat and have a romantic lunch. This was the perfect location. Menu is varied but appropriate for lunch. Try the chocolate molten lava cake! Great time, thank you for the hospitality.

This used to be a good restaurant. The location right on the beach in Cardiff and window views of the same are spectacular. The food, though currently a bit overpriced, is still good for the most part, although during my last two visits I ordered Blackened Chilean Sea Bass and it's clear the cooks have no concept of what "blackened"... We stopped for drinks and appetizer and to enjoy the oceanfront venue. We sat at the bar and the service was good. The wicked tuna appetizer was quite tasty and nicely presented. Our original plan was to have dinner here, but the reviews we read influenced our decision. Cocktails and appetizers late afternoon were a better choice.

Had lunch at the restaurant with a nice view of the ocean. Mitchell, our waiter, was extremely helpful and courteous. Made our dining experience very enjoyable. Food was very good.

The restaurant has been updated and it is light and airy, with gorgeous views up and down the coast. The menu is tropical and eclectic and the service is OK. However, My meal experience today was ruined when I saw a woman sit at a table with a large white standard poodle!. This wasn't even a service dog! I love... More

My parents celebrating their 66 th Wedding Anniversary had the worst evening at the Chart House in Cardiff by the sea. They were told to arrive early to have a window table to watch the sunset, instead they sat them in a spot that was uncomfortable and breezy, they asked for a different table and were seated for over an... While on vacation, we dined in this ocean front restaurant enjoying the smell of the ocean and the sound on the crashing waves. Their Happy Hour went from 3:00 to 6:30 giving us plenty of time to enjoy $5 glasses of wine and very inexpensive appetizers. The fried calamari with vegetables and the plate of fried artichoke hearts were just... More

Hubby and I went on a Friday night. We hadn't been to this restaurant in many years and it has undergone a nice renovation. We ordered the crab, avocado, mango stack for appetizer and it was very yummy. We each ordered a salad- mine was huge and a bit dry. I ordered the shrimp trio, which was just ok -... More

I have eaten at multiple Chart House locations around the country including this one before. My experience has always been the same. Excellent food, excellent service and you get what you pay for. Last week we made reservations for 7:15 for my birthday. We arrived about 10 minutes early and were told our table should be ready in 10-15 minutes.... More
