Everything was perfect from the moment we parked the car and left it with the valet, to when we walked in and were greeted by the host person and take into our table. The great service continued 100% throughout the entire meal. I do go to restaurants and I am discriminating so when I say the service was terrific I... More

I sent the following note to the manager the day after the events and have had no response. 1. Make reservation on-line, Open Table for two, for 7:30p, Sat 12-July. 2. 7:20 call to confirm time. Told we’d have table at 7:45 3. 7:40. Arrive; told it would be at least 8:15 before table was ready. 4. 8;15. Table ready... More

I ate here on a business trip, and sat overlooking the ocean. The food was wonderful and service was excellent.

This is a great restaurant just because it is right on the beach. You can almost reach out and touch the water! What wonderful views of the ocean! Food is always good, as would be expected at any Chart House.

For decades I have visited this chain of restaurants up and down the California coast, and am still amazed at how consistent they are at each location. They always have great locations and stunning views of the ocean, but the food is consistently mediocre and prepared with careless abandon. This time was worse than most, probably due to the very... My wife and I were treated very courteously and efficiently. A table by the open window was made available after a very short wait. The server and, eventually, the manager came by to discuss my wife's gluten-free needs. She was wonderfully accommodated and enjoyed a tasty dinner. The walkway just outside the open eating area was lined with huge boulders... More

The view from this restaurant is nothing shy of amazing! The food, however, was sub par. It was Mother's Day so went for brunch and ordered clam chowder and seafood quiche. Chowder was a actually very good but the quiche was just plain bad with the potatoes literally I edible and the fruit way over ripe. Expected a lot more... More

My husband and I enjoyed an early dinner. The standout was the view - due to the Santa Ana winds, it was spectacularly clear. In addition the the ocean waves, we also enjoyed seeing wind surfers and people strolling along the beach. The food was good - surprisingly my husband's braised short ribs were the standout. The service was good.

We came here with relatives for a reunion and good food, we certainly received both! We arrived near sunset and there had been a storm the night before, so Mother Nature put on quite a magnifcent show..the rolling and crashing waves along with the sunset were unbelievable. The waiter promptly took our orders, the menu had wonderful choices, and my... More

Anyone that has ever eaten at one of the Chart House Restaurants knows the food is excellent and the service is always top notch, but if you want a romantic place to go and watch the sunset, this is the place. Right on the beach in Cardiff, with an unobstructed view of the beach.
