I was introduced to Gayle's by a co worker. She brought me lunch from Gayles. The humus and quinoa was so yummy. The Princess cake yummy. I had to go to see for myself. Awesome. Place is kind of overwhelming your first trip but staff are so nice. I tried the spinach gorgonzola pasta and tried a different cake. The... More

Great variety for the whole family. The cost is a bit high but when looking for good quick food it's worth it.

Worth the stop just to see all the options. Amazing selection. Baked good were delicious and the small baguette salami sandwhich is right out of a street corner shop in Europe. Simple and delicious. Coffee bar was quick and the behind the scenes is amazing seeing just how many people are running around. Totally worth the stop even if your... More

We came here because of the great reviews on Tripadvisor and were ready for a yummy sandwich. Was so disappointed to find out every sandwich is pre-made and cold. If I am going to pay $8 for a sandwich the least it can be is made fresh. The ingredients did not seem that fresh and the bread was dry hard... More

Gayle is a fun and quaint place, not a sit down to a quiet meal place. It's our favorite place to grab before and after a day at the beach. It's quality foods as well as gourmet desserts. OMG, if we have a Gayle's in the bay area, I would go every day. It's like Whole Foods food area but... More

Although the food is great the ordering, seating, and over all atmosphere is chaotic and loud. We got our breakfast sandwiches to go because it was so unpleasant. Great fresh homemade croissants but every body is wandering around the multiple counters waiting for their number to be called. You have to maneuver your way to the front to see what's... More

This place is legendary in Capitola...and for good reason...the food is very good. It serves breakfast ( in the form of pastries), lunch and dinner....plus ice cream. We had a late lunch on a Saturday. The place was crowded but the system for getting served has an organized kaos effect...take a number and when called, you are " assigned" someone... More

So when I pass through Capitola on Highway 1, I always try to find a way to rationalize a stop at Gayle's. Could it be the hibiscus iced tea, or the decadent cakes, or the crisp salad cups, or the blue plate specials for dinner? So many reasons. My latest favorite is the wheat-free peanut butter chocolate chip cookies -... More

Friendly staff with exceptional food! The carrot cake was the best I've ever had and affordable. It's close to the quaint little town of Capitola so you can take your food to go for a picnic on the beach. They have everything from breakfast, lunch, dinner, dessert, and drinks to make the whole family happy. The only down fall is... More
