We went here for lunch, primarily because of the nice view. The food was OK, but in hindsight it would have been better to just sit on the back deck and enjoy the view with a glass of wine. I'm sure you pay a premium on the food because of the view, and honestly the food wasn't particularly noteworthy. Next... More

My friends and I visited Zelda's as part of our weekend getaway. One friend was hoping they had their prime rib available, but they do not offer it on Saturdays. First, parking is difficult, to say the least, especially on a summer weekend. But the location is awesome!!! Ask for a table at the window. I know when I have... More

Zelda's is the best place to enjoy Capitola with A cocktail and delicious food right on the beach. My daughter, grand daughter and I waited just a few minutes for a table outside and had a sunny spot, one table away from the rail. Tho they were out of their signature tequila, the Billionaire Margarita was delicious anyway. I ordered... More

We shared brunch with good friends yesterday. Our course included apple sausage w/eggs and home fries, banana pancake, huevos rancheros and turkey/avocado scramble. Coffee, regular latte and hazelnut latte. Food was excellent and the service outstanding. We ate on the deck outside the restaurant, overlooking Capitola Beach....on Monterey Bay near Santa Cruz. Altogether fine experience with our friends.

We used to love Zelda's mostly because of the bartenders. They would always remember us even if it had been a year since our last visit. This time there were two young women tending bar and throughout the evening, not once did they ask us if we wanted something. It wasn't all that busy either. Each time we wanted something... More

I did not give a 5 just because the whole experience was really good but not great! The food was good the chowder was wonderful! Allowing the public to sit right in front of the glass and eat pizza was a little strange!

We stopped here to meet up with my friend's family for a quick bite on our road to San Francisco. We had some nice Chardonnay, fantastic calamari and were seated at a table right by the beach that affords you a fantastic view of the Venetian style beach houses. A great view and a relaxed vibe.

Good restaurant. Recommend for patio or indoor fining. Great clams! Suggest mixed salad with bay shrimp. Excellent salad! Steak was okay but they didn't ask how it should be done. Not good. It was over cooked.

Have been eating at Zelda's on and off for many years. Just finished lunch there today; wife's scramble was fine, my hamburger was a thin, dry, overcooked patty. The last dinner there about 3 months back; very limited menu almost void of catch of the day and its ON THE BEACH (used to have great fresh fish, not now). The... More

Nothing like a cool drink by the ocean on Zeldas patio. Good food and usually live entertainment as well.
