Excellent food, wide range of bar and menu items, friendly service and outside eating area available
The tropical ambiance of this charming restaurant greets you as you enter. It's located right on the Capitola beach so you can often view the ocean up close from where you are seated. You have a choice of the quaint bar area with a fireplace for those cold, foggy days, the outside patio for fresh sunshine, or the inside dining... More
Stopped by for appetizers and a drink on a Saturday afternoon. The food was good, with a wide variety of selections on the menu. The service was pretty slow and the wait staff inattentive. They did have a good live blues band in the corner next to the bar.
We shared three appetizers,Ahi Tuna, Lava Plume prongs and Little neck steamers. All three were delicious. We had a magnificent view outside, facing the Pacific ocean with hundreds and hundreds of birds feasting on anchovies.
This is a popular spot in town, you can tell even on the off night things were at a mild hum. It's pretty clear the staff is used to being very busy with mobs of people on weekends. We stopped in on a cool Thursday evening, & were seated outside. It was borderline comfortable. We did not do any mains... More
We were introduced to Paradise Beach Grille by two regulars who assured us this was the best place for steak and fish in Capitola - they weren't wrong! I had the coconut and macadamia encrusted ahi which was amazing and my husband had had an outstanding filet mignon. The service was attentive and friendly and the place had a buzzing... More
A friend took us to Paradise Beach Grille for a late lunch when we arrived from out of state for a visit. Due to the time, it was not crowded, and we chose to sit in the open room looking over the beach area. We enjoyed the view of the beach and ocean, the birds splashing about, and the colorful... More
Nice location along the Capitola waterfront. We split an appetizer of prawns with a coconut coating and an entree of marinated steak over four cheese gorgonzola tortellini. Both were well prepared and tasty. Despite a fairly full restaurant, service was fast and friendly. Wine prices were reasonable.
We went for drink/snack/music time on a Sunday; something we've done a few times before. OMG! After waiting forever for service, our drinks and finally our food came.....The experience tally was totally abysmal: zero alcohol in the drinks (ppl on Yelp REALLY hammer them on this point), the Fish and Chips were soggy drowned, as were the Prawns. Fries would... More
We were looking for some seafood for lunch. This restaurant is located in the charming Capitola. Village. In an area of many, many restaurants, this was just delicious. My husband had the coconut prawns. It was amazing. The taste of the sweet coconut was incredible. They were not deep fried, just sauteed. I had the fish tacos. There were three... More
