We were able to sit where we wanted. This truly is a beautiful restaurant. Service was lacking. Even though server had assistants and expediters we really didn't see him enough. Waited a long time between courses. Apps were on table and soup came out without the table being cleared it really isn't my job to buss my own table for... More

This is a great place to take someone for a special day like a birthday. The food is not cheap here but you get elegant dining, high end class and top rate service. The staff is very professional and kind. I've been here many times over the years and love it. As for the food, scallops are "good" but missing... More

Great spot. Such a fun location. Take the taxi for sure. Food was delicious. We walked down but too the tram up. Beautiful view. Would go again for sure.

We had dinner at the Shadowbrook on 7/1. The staff was friendly. Our waiter knew the menu. We had two of his recommendations, I had the lamb and my wife the sea scallops. Both were cook to perfection and the sauces could not have been matched better with the entrees. Another plus is the great view of Soquel Creek. We... More

Beautiful setting built into a hillside overlooking Soquel Creek. There are plantings and waterfalls. Because of the beautiful setting I figured the food would be just okay. I was wrong! The cocktails are excellent, the wine list is very nice, the food is excellent. The wait staff is excellent. We had the salmon cake appetizer, which was been mentioned in... More

It has been 15 years since my last visit and boy has the food gone down hill. Everything we had (prime rib , c hiopinio, and salmon was Denny's class. The vegan meal was outstanding but over priced. This is great place to have a relaxing drink but I will eat somewhere else next time

Of our group of six two had been here before - 20 years before. We were all pleased with the dinner (you can share for an extra charge per person), very knowledgeable waiter, and a pretty view of the water. Be sure to get a table with a view or it may not be a dinner to remember. The grounds... More

Shadowbrook has always been a tourist destination with its unique location, gardens and funicular...but the food has not always matched the quality of the surroundings. I decided to give it another try after staying away for several years. The latest chef has been there a month and from my experience there at dinner last night with two friends, he's doing... More

I've have always heard great things about Shadowbrook and was excited that my cousin was hosting their rehearsal lunch there. The service for our group of 25 felt more like a banquet than what you would expect from a "famous" restaurant. One side of our table was served and had to wait 10 minuets for the other side to be...
