Wonderful spot to take a cab and enjoy the walk down or cable car ride into the restaurant. Fabulous staff makes sure you are always taken care of. The basil cucumber martini was refreshing and fresh. The gnocchi was unique and almost "lick the plate clean" good. We could hear each other in a low soft voice and felt like... More

I don't go out to eat very much because I am allergic to soy. Soy is in so many things. Server was condescending and rude. Did not want to take the time to find out what a person with a soy allergy could eat. I'm a very quiet person. I don't like attention drawn to me. He really hurt my... More

Three of us dined in the Rock Room for drinks and small place. Busy on Saturday night but managed to find a table. Wine list ok, a bit over priced. Appetizer/small plate list good and food well prepared. Live music made for an enjoyable evening. Would return for Happy Hour or light dining.

We went with four friends as a thank you for hospitality received. We had an excellent meal with good attentive service. They cater for vegetarians although it would have been nice to have a veggie soup on the menu - all soups used chicken stock although to be fair this was clear on the menu. I would highly recommend, expect... More

Visited last weekend for our anniversary and really didn't live up to our expectations. Lovely gardens, but interior is very dark. The room we were sat in had dark wood with painted flowers and lots of cheap white lights and fake plants. It felt odd. And the view out the window was of the river (decent) and the neighbors back... Our dinner was delicious! We ate in the Redwood Room which has about 6 tables and a view of a garden terrace dinin area. It was quiet. You will never know that there are another 4 levels to this restaurant! Our server was wonderful. We wanted a slow evening and he picked right up on that fact and went at... More

First, know that I was aware of the pricing of this restaurant. However, I expected much more value for what I paid. The atmosphere was amazing - the location, the look, the view, all were wonderful and romantic. The service was very good. However, when it came to the meal, we were very disappointed. For a $30 plus entree, no... More

First I'll review the restaurant and then I'll go into the logistics for the beach. This is a unique, iconic restaurant perched in the side of a cliff overlooking the creek in Capitola. The sunset views can be gorgeous if the fog cooperates. ;-) The restaurant also has a large bar area which is nice for hanging out before or... More

A must-go if you're in the area. Make reservations! Our table was next to a tree growing through the top of the restaurant. Breathtaking views of nature, very picturesque. Family friendly and romantic. Our young daughter loved the little cable car going down the hill from the top level. Food was delicious! Lovely presentation and flavors. We enjoyed ever bite.... More

We have eaten here quite often, and enjoy eating in the bar. Great wine list and service. I am glad we were there early Sunday evening because as we were getting ready to leave it was getting quite crowded with tons of noisy kids. To me this is not a kids restaurant .
