This was my second visit here. The setting is definitely the reason to bring friends. Unfortunately the cream of artichoke soup which was quite good last time was so terrible it was inedible. We all sent it back and were not charged for it. The wine list for those served by the glass was quite extensive. The duck with the... More

Great setting..felt like I was eating in a multi-level tree house overlooking the river. The trolley car was out of service. Had a special drink "guava-politan", nothing special.. a cosmo with quava nectar. Dont waste your money on this. Our meals lamb loin and filet mignon prepared well...flavor of sauces on lamb could have been better. However meats cooked perfectly... More

We were able to sit where we wanted. This truly is a beautiful restaurant. Service was lacking. Even though server had assistants and expediters we really didn't see him enough. Waited a long time between courses. Apps were on table and soup came out without the table being cleared it really isn't my job to buss my own table for... More

This is a great place to take someone for a special day like a birthday. The food is not cheap here but you get elegant dining, high end class and top rate service. The staff is very professional and kind. I've been here many times over the years and love it. As for the food, scallops are "good" but missing... More

We had dinner at the Shadowbrook on 7/1. The staff was friendly. Our waiter knew the menu. We had two of his recommendations, I had the lamb and my wife the sea scallops. Both were cook to perfection and the sauces could not have been matched better with the entrees. Another plus is the great view of Soquel Creek. We... More

Beautiful setting built into a hillside overlooking Soquel Creek. There are plantings and waterfalls. Because of the beautiful setting I figured the food would be just okay. I was wrong! The cocktails are excellent, the wine list is very nice, the food is excellent. The wait staff is excellent. We had the salmon cake appetizer, which was been mentioned in... More
