I heard about this place through some friends and even though I'm picky with my Italian foods, I thought I'd try it out. To start, I loved the atmosphere, true Italian setting but with a beach view! I went with my boyfriend and were seated by Agostino himself, who actually seats all his guests, and our waitress was Leslie. Leslie... More

The best authentic Italian food anywhere. The Eggplant Parm,Chicken Marsala, Salmon Picatta to their daily dinner specials in one word OUTSTANDING!! The seafood is fresh, their salad dressings are made from scratch and the pizza like no other. Try it ...YOU will LOVE it!

Sorry but just didn't enjoy this from start to finish and was glad to pay the bill and leave. Food quality and taste was not good and thankfully on this occasion we were hurried along.

We love the chicken parm special...the chicken is so tender & the bread is fresh & good. The service has always been pretty good. It is family run & alot of care is put into the food.

Don't go to this place unless you sit on the two-table patio and want to talk above the PCH noise. The service was terrible (plates sat uncleared for 10-15 minutes) and the food was fairly bland and run of the mill. Inside decor was very run-down and a tad bit smelly. Think old New York Diner. the staff was dressed... More

It might have been an off night. However, we had horrible service. We waited forever for food that seemed very lackluster. I wish we had taken the car into the proper town in Dana Point and explored some more options for dinner. I walked out feeling like I overpaid for bad service and meh pasta.

This is as good as it gets in south Orange county for cheap and cheerful Italian. This place has been here forever. The décor lacks a little but the service and the food is what brings you here. Try the clams and mussels posillipo with a side of naked pasta eat the clams and mussels then dump the pasta in... More

The food was good basic italian food. We thought it was going to be a dive after we got disappointing salad, but the good entree brought it back. Try to get a seat in the front where you have an ocean view. With the right table you can also watch the sun set while eating. The price was normal for... More

We went to this restaurant next door to the Capistrano Surfside Inn and the food was excellent. I would definitely go back.

We used another search engine to find Agostino, so I was surprised to see so many negative reviews. We also had Leslie but she was cheerful and very helpful, not inattentive or unpleasant. She helped me figure out which dish to order (I couldn't decide between gnocchi and another housemade pasta), offered extra bread, and was on point our whole... More
