This place is a jewel. The cakes are simply perfect. I was born and grew up in Paris. I have tasted many patisseries in my life. This is the best. Yes, this little Cafe in Afula makes the best cakes I have ever eaten. If you like cakes, you must go there. MUST. The area around the restaurant is kind... More

Maklot Vanille was found by luck. Such tantalising food. The pastry on my sweet potato quiche was light sweet and crusty in equal measure. Quick friendly staff bring menu's in Hebrew or English. Slices of their home made almond and toasted seed bread were offered with the meal free and were lapped up. Fresh cider apple smoothie was very refreshing.... More

With no doubt I can confirm you guys this coffee-bar in Afula is a really known for its good Pastries among local people ,and for a reason. They make delicious but though not so cheap pastries. it's not located in the center (don't expect something romantic) or near the bus terminal if you are on your roads. However if you... More

Enjoyed a nice dinner here. 7 people ate for 350 NIS. Food was tasty and servings generous. The place is dairy with a rabbanut certificate. Cakes looked yummy, but we were too full. Bread was delicious. They packed up the leftover bread for us to take home. Look forward to future visits.

The Vanilla-Sticks restaurant offers a great variety of dairy foods, and despite its' not-so-lovely location, it is a good place to visit for a light lunch, an afternoon coffee, or a great breakfast. The Mozzarella salad is my favourite, with great chunky Mozzarelly pieces, and a great array of fresh vegetables. The breads that accompany the breakfast feast are freshly... More

For years I've heard about Maklot vanille, and only recently did we go there, and needless to say keep coming back. This is a simple restaurant with "simply wonderful food". The pastas are fresh, the sandwiches are extraordinary-made from their freshly baked breads and wonderful ingredients, coffee-terrific. They have their own bakery and make their own icecream, both of which... More

In the heart of the sleepy town of Afula (pop. 41,000), just down the street from the mall, is a restaurant that just might be worth going out of your way for. Maklot Vanille (Vanilla Sticks) has the best breakfast in town. Whether you order the breakfast for two with fresh Israeli salad, eggs (anyway you want 'em), their own... More
