Its a great place, and a life savor for people who are hiking up on foot. You can sit here and relax, and move fwd. Most of the people return back from here :)

brilliant view of the monastery, they serve great crackers. This is your only loo break on the way to Taktsang, so do stop by.

This is a pleasant and welcome stopping point on one's weary way up and down from the the Tiger's Nest. There is a wonderful view of Taktsang Lakhang from the terrace. We didn't eat here, but the food looked fine. The Western toilets were clean and welcome. We enjoyed the tea and the interior of the Cafeteria was most pleasant.

This cafeteria is a monopoly to all who climb up the tiger's nest. The food is pretty standard Chinese food with some Indian spiced soup. No meat when I went. The seats outside gives you a good view of the nature surrounding tiger's nest as you enjoy your meal. Do stock up on water here for your climb up or... More

We were told the food here isn't good, but we found it was a great place for a tea break on the way up to the monastery. It provides a nice break from the hiking, gives you a refreshment and some beautiful views of the destination and hike that will be coming up.

Considering that the Tthakshang Monastery is heaven on earth, the cafeteria is halfway to heaven. The tedious and steep walk up to the Tiger's nest breaks for refreshments at the Tthakshang Cafeteria. Buffet lunch is served and the food is extremely tasty. Cannot Miss if you are trekking to the tigers nest.

Location of the cafeteria is very high. You get to watch the monastery sipping coffee or snacks. They limited time for snacks, buffet, etc. By the time we reached that was around 11.30 am, there was no snacks. We managed to get some locally made biscuits and tea. Even these were very expensive.

The cafeteria was crowded that sunny hot day in mid-October, but here were excellent views of the monastery and beyond, especially if you can grab seats outside under the gazebo. Tea and biscuits were provided upon request – our guide grabbed a large tray of them for our group. We did not order any meals here. The only way to... More

During my visit to Taktsang Cafeteria, I liked the overall location of the same. The only problem is that the lunch buffet laid out was a bit too expensive at Rs. 1270/- per plate. However, my experience there was of loss and thereafter joy. My brand new powered Raybans sunglasses somehow got misplaced while paying for the tea I had... More
