A nice evening out

Anything you order tastes great, but the fried rice is a must. The fried rice makes any meal even better. The chefs are entertaining and food is great.

Similar to other teppanyaki restaurants.... decor in the cooking area was dark.... Service was good but our chef had a tendency to overcook most of our food. The requested rare steaks ended up more like a medium to medium-well... Our scallops and shrimp were overdone and ended up too firm and dry. The chicken was on the overdone side too....... More

I was visiting Kyoto Palace for my Anniversary. I ordered the Samurai special. The meat and vegetables and seafood were all cooked perfect. Everything tasted very fresh and the fried rice was to die for. We also ordered the green tea ice cream. Which if you haven't had before it's fantastic, it's very herby tasting and refreshing to the pallet.... More

I am a big fan of Teppanyaki and all things Japanese. But my experience with Kyoto palace was not as good as I expected it to be. This is a large restaurant with many tables and at least 200 people seating. The food was a little too greasy and the flavors a bit wanting. With all the other restaurants in... More

We've gone to Kyoto at least 20 times over the years - its a family favorite for birthday dinners. The chefs are all different and have their own way of entertaining the table. Weekend evenings are jammed and parking at the Pruneyard is usually awful so go early to find parking because you will not be seated unless your entire... More

Came here for a Holiday lunch with my team for work. Had a lot of fun with the chef. He was very entertaining and had us laughing through the meal. Food was really great. I was the lone vegetarian in the group, and they were very accommodating to my dietary restrictions. Would definitely come back here again. Prices are decent... More

The food is excellent, though a bit pricey. The chef with the twirling knives and spatulas makes this a fun event as well as great food for the whole family. A very entertaining adventure. I think the cultural aspect suffers from not having all-Japanese chefs.

Liked that you can choose between the sushi bar or you can do the community grill. Also the choices were varied in both prices and combinations of food. They real fun came later in the evening when Karaoke was offered, check the days they offer it it was my understanding Karaoke is not offered every night.
