Cool concept, wanting in atmosphere

I am a big fan of Teppanyaki and all things Japanese. But my experience with Kyoto palace was not as good as I expected it to be. This is a large restaurant with many tables and at least 200 people seating. The food was a little too greasy and the flavors a bit wanting. With all the other... read more

We've gone to Kyoto at least 20 times over the years - its a family favorite for birthday dinners. The chefs are all different and have their own way of entertaining the table. Weekend evenings are jammed and parking at the Pruneyard is usually awful so go early to find parking because you will not be seated unless your entire... More

Came here for a Holiday lunch with my team for work. Had a lot of fun with the chef. He was very entertaining and had us laughing through the meal. Food was really great. I was the lone vegetarian in the group, and they were very accommodating to my dietary restrictions. Would definitely come back here again. Prices are decent... More

The food is excellent, though a bit pricey. The chef with the twirling knives and spatulas makes this a fun event as well as great food for the whole family. A very entertaining adventure. I think the cultural aspect suffers from not having all-Japanese chefs.

Liked that you can choose between the sushi bar or you can do the community grill. Also the choices were varied in both prices and combinations of food. They real fun came later in the evening when Karaoke was offered, check the days they offer it it was my understanding Karaoke is not offered every night.

I really love this place for numerous reasons but let's just say they have the best fried rice this side of the Pacific!

Fun place to go with a group. Entertaining for a special occasion. Way to expensive for the amount and quality of food you get. Have only been there once and much prefer Benihana's at Vallco.

We had a group of about 25 folks visit Kyoto Palace following a day of meetings. We had a reservation at 7:00 PM, but arrived a little early to enjoy a little social time in the bar. We were seated right away at 7:00 and our server was quickly and cheerfully taking our orders. Most of the group at our... More
