Mu hubby, son and I decided to take my mother and sister to Kyoto palace as a way to thank them for taking care of our pet during our recent vacation. Kyoto palace definitely delivered as Jose our chef was simply amazing. My mother is not very keen about Japanese food however Jose was so accommodating, entertaining, engaging, and overall... More

We had a group of about 25 folks visit Kyoto Palace following a day of meetings. We had a reservation at 7:00 PM, but arrived a little early to enjoy a little social time in the bar. We were seated right away at 7:00 and our server was quickly and cheerfully taking our orders. Most of the group at our... More

Went with family. Everyone had fun. Took advantage of happy hour. Our guy "Jose" was really funny and entertaining. Staff great. Food great. Price little high but worth it with happy hour.

My husband, mother and I went to Kyoto for a change of pace & all had great food & a fun evening. We loved how the chef "played" with the egg and onions and the food was really delicious. I would recommend this restaurant for large groups & birthday parties as they typically seat 8 persons per table.

This was my first ever visit to a Japanese restaurant, and I loved the experience of the cook cooking the meal in front of us.

This was my second visit here (traveling for work) and the staff in the Sushi bar area immediately recognized me and greeted me. The sushi is good and they have a nice wine selection. Very friendly guests and staff.

The sushi is very good. They serve the usual plus we had mackerel which was an interesting new taste. The Kyoto special was very good- steak and lobster as was the Seafood Combo of shrimp, lobster, and scallops. This is one of those performance dinner prep restaurants and the chef at our grill was great- amiable and skilled. The wait... More

A family trip to Kyoto Palace for my daughter's birthday and it appeared everyone in the room was there for the same reason. I'm not sure I've sung as many 'Happy Birthday to....' to strangers in the whole of my life as I did last night. The reason is clear - this is a by-the-numbers teppanyaki restaurant. It definitely isn't... More

Dropped in one evening after walking by several times. Should have kept going. The staff were UNINVITING. Didn't ask or acknowledge it was our first time there. If there was a system to being served, we didn't know it and weren't informed. After 10 minutes, no one waited on us in the bar area and we walked out. No one... More
