We have had food on two occassions. Both times we had to throw out what we got. There was too much cheese and beans in all the vegetarian items. Even the nachos had a load of cheese that is made the whole thing soggy with so much jalapenos. Experience both times were the same. I think they might be better... More

Technically, this review is for the San Jose location at 5469 Snell Avenue San Jose, CA 95123 but TripAdvisor doesn't seem to have heard of it. Same company, whatever. Do you like Taco Bell? Well, Taco Bravo has big portions, higher quality ingredients, and is generally cheap. By item, it's a little more, but by meal, it's a way better... More

Whay can I say about this place? I ate there 4 times in a four day stay. Obviously, I loved it. It's one of those locals places that I like to search out when traveling. The place that you'd never stop at unless someone recommended it. If your looking for atmosphere and a Zagat rated dining experience, this isn't it.... More

Higher quality and fresher than their competition. I usually get their crunchy tacos, although the soft tacos and burritos are good also!

The place is gruff...Mitt Romney would probably make demeaning comments about it...but this place has the best taco on earth! I have enjoyed the taco delight since 1986. Living outside of California for the last 10 years...the taco delight haunts my dreams. The wonderful goodness of the soft and hard shells...the mounds of cheddar...topped with olives....it's amazing! If you want... More

The food here is fresh, tasty, and inexpensive. Much better than Taco Bell. Even better, if you are a music groupie, most of the local bands stop by here before or after their sets in the evenings...so swing by in the late evenings and check out the local talent. In the afternoons, you might find a few bikers.

After doing the music store run on San Jose's famous Bascom Ave, I would pop into Dennis' famous Taco Bravo for a cheap snack. While Tower Records has disappeared, I still make it a point to visit and enjoy a burrito with special secret sauce.
