Have eaten here a couple of evenings and had lovely meals. My friend had a salad which she said was the best she had ever had - and she is very picky! Great value as well.

I have to echo the recent opinion since the change of ownership and name. I opted for what should have been one of the safest options on the menu in the form of a steak and ale pie. What was served lacked any discernible pastry content and regrettably lacked any flavour, as well as looking like a plate of stew.... More

Great food, good service, excellent value deals each evening, worth a visit. A good selection of beers and very nice locally brewed cider. Wines fine too.

I have left glowing reviews of the Lime Tree. However, it has changed hands now and called the Kings Arms. Sadly our visit last weekend was not good. There was no wine list, service was disorganised and slow. The sleection of beer was limited. Of most convern was the food. We ordered fish and chips - all of which had... More

We often dine at pubs and restaurants in the villages nearby but had not been to Thornford for many years. What a great find, the pub has a nice atmosphere, the restaurant is roomy and airy but not cold or unwelcoming. The staff were lovely and the service great. The food was very tasty and well cooked, there was also... More

This is our first experience of this pub and was very impressed by the food. It is pub food at its best with home-made, locally sourced and very reasonably priced food. I had the homemade beef burger, my partner the steak and my daughter the scampi. We all thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Very friendly and will be going again soon.

Friendly local pub with good choice of beer and typical pub food. Worth a visit if passing or visiting the area.

Almost every weekend we enjoy sampling the Sunday lunches at the local venues, the meal is always the same - roast beef - the great British Sunday lunch. We have eaten in diners, lovely old pubs, decent hotels and even roadside take aways. This review was one that we had been saving until almost the last (one more, the last... More

Superb village pub with a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. You will be able to enjoy the finest real ales served at a consistent high quality. Wholesome pub food is served, especially the highy recommended and enjoyed ham, egg and chips!
