I went with a friend both nights that we stayed in Cambria. We looked at the other options, but nothing was as appealing. We enjoyed both meals, and it is clearly liked by locals. It may not seem especially good compared to cities where there is lots of choice and restaurants have lots of competition, but for the CA coast... More

Cambria is a tyipcally overpriced tourist town. The Wild Ginger fits the mold. Though the food was well prepared, the portions of two of our three dishes were shockingly small. My sweet and sour tofu constituted about five cubic mouthfuls. The sesame chicken was not much more. The BBQ pork, for some inscrutable reason, contained a generous portion of tasty,... More

My husband, 11-year-old daughter, and I adore Wild Ginger Cafe. We have just returned from our second trip to Cambria in one year and have gone to Wild Ginger for six dinners and three lunches. Debbie Mok, chef and owner, is welcoming and makes you feel at home while bringing to you her delicious creations, which are served on beautiful... More

My boyfriend and I both stopped by here on a whim after reading all the good reviews .We started out by ordering the cream cheese salmon wontons. They were good but nothing I haven't had elsewhere. To be fair we peeked at our neighbors food and it did look appetizing and well presented. The owner however was very short and... More

The food here is so good that my wife and I went back two nights in a row, and we are used to eating at some highly rated restaurants in other parts of California. We tried 3 seafood dishes and all were fantastic. The Red Snapper, the Shrimp, and the Calamari were all prepared to perfection with some amazingly wonderful... More

I was excited to try this place after reading all the reviews, but I wasn't all that impressed. It's decent Asian food with nice fresh veggies. I guess I'm spoiled since there's so much good food in SF. It's a very small restaurant, but cozy. Several locals came in to get take out while we were there. Tip: Skip the... More

This is the good news...This tiny restaurant was everything that former writers said it was. The pork pot roast was amazing and I couldn't resist the home made papaya sorbet to end the meal even though I should have passed on dessert because I was so full of pot roast AND on a diet . This is the bad news... More

We made a point of having dinner at the Wild Ginger Cafe based on the reviews at this site. This tiny restaurant only seats about 20 people, but they are the 20 luckiest diners in Cambria. Jon and I shared the chicken satay appetizer, which had a lovely piquant flavor, and the salmon-cream cheese wontons -- delish! For dinner, Jon... More

The Wild Ginger in Cambria has the best, most unique cuisine I have ever experienced. My best friend and I discovered this place last summer (July 2007) and kept going back there for each meal while on our mini vacation. I couldn't wait to take my husband there on our next trip. We returned March 7-8, 2008 and he agreed... More
