We love Wild Ginger & eat there every night we are in Cambria. Deb, the owner, buys only the freshest, most perfect foods and serves fantastic specials every day. The service is great, Deb is a wonderful hostess. We've never had anything that was microwaved (one reviewer claimed this). The pricing is very reasonable, especially considering the quality, care, and... more

Waste of money! Very expensive for below average food and very small portions. My husband and I couldn't believe what they charge for their food! EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTING! The best part about dining her was being able to sit outside on the patio with our dog. If you can hold off on Asian food, do it. You can find much better... more

Good selection of Asian cuisine. Well cooked and cheaper than most restaurants in Cambria. Friendly , 'cosy' atmosphere with good service. Well recommended if you’re looking for this type of food and not expecting silver service and loads of elbow room. more

I have been enjoying the wonderful fresh food at the Wild Ginger since it opened seven years ago. It has grown into a local favorite and any visitors I have taken there have raved about it. The menu changes daily and there are always exciting new entrees to try. We are fortunate to have this jewel in our little town. more

My friend and I stayed in Cambria for two nights and absolutely everywhere we went, this restaurant was recommended--by both locals and other visitors to the town. It is a very small, intimate place run by a woman with a big, social heart. She is such a delight. And her food easily met the word-of-mouth reputation. From the Thai iced... more

When asked, everyone from the town recommended this restaurant to us...everyone! It's small, so the first night we walked by it was packed and had a line of people waiting. So we went somewhere else. The next night we went there earlier and got a table and we were so happy! The board with the specials was large...and we were... more

I have to wonder about some of these reviewers. Microwaved food? That's absurd, assuming you've ordered from the menu & not from the to-go case. We have eaten many, many lunches & dinners here over the years. The food is superb. It is small, yes. Also casual - wine comes in jar glasses, not goblets. The service can be slow,... more

Traveling trough the seaside scenic village of Cambria, CA off Route 1, 20 miles south of Big Sur, travelers must take time to stop and eat Asian cuisine at the charming and cosy restaurant Wild Ginger in East Village. This small, friendly and inexpensive restaurant provides a nice chance to enjoy a variety of delicious Asian foods that are prepared... more

Stayed a night in Cambria while checking out Hearst Castle. Decided on dinner at Wild Ginger. What a good choice it turned out to be. I started out with an appetizer of lamb curry in a puffed pastry, which was quite large for a $4 appetizer. For entrees, my wife got caramelized shrimp from the menu and I ordered a... more
