Very busy evening so we needed to wait a while for a table. Table was great and view wonderful. Server was not friendly and didn't seem to want to be there. Food was just ok. We were hungry and this was walking distance to our lodging. Won't return to this place and would try something in town.

We enjoyed delicious food - the rack of lamb medium rare- perfect. I am not a big fan of all the sauces and always forget to ask for them on the side - my fault. Good wines, good service staff friendly and interested in their job. I would go back again if in the area

Great lunch when visited in June, this time after full day of tours at Hearst Castle, found it not opening till 5pm, and we were starving, so went to a great Grill and sports bar near Shell Station in Cambria, just down the road.

No reservations, but the outdoor patio with a view of Moonstone Beach is a perfect place to watch the setting sun (which is a little offstage in the summer). Grilled fish and a nice selection of wines are what attracted us.

Found this spot while sight seeing on the Coast. We all had a great lunch. Burgers were good, my chicken tacos were great. The day was a stellar one and the view was amazing. We saw whales feeding and watched them during our entire lunch. Across the street was a great walk all along the coast line. Great Place give... More

The service, food, ambiance, waitress, manager-all wonderful. No dislikes. We had a wonderful time, and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone in a heartbeat. I wish the restaurant was closer to Oregon. I would go frequently

We had lunch at Moonstone B & G last week. It was mid afternoon and we moved to an umbrellaed table, which wasn't a problem. My wife needs gluten free meals, so she was questioning the waitress, who said she would ask the chef (the proper thing to do.) But instead, she came back with a large binder of menu... More

We didn't get into Cambria until after 7 pm so we really appreciated having a restaurant so close to Castle Inn to walk to. Sat at an elevated booth inside overlooking the Pacific and had a great meal.

We were able to sit outside and look at the ocean as we enjoyed lunch. The fish tacos were very good and the portion was ample. We also tried the smoked salmon quesadilla, which was good - and beyond ample. My wife and I enjoyed it for lunch on the beach the next day. The prices are very reasonable.

Good service, kindof tough steak. Salad was great and the wine by the glass selection was ok. Could have been more extensive though, given proximity to Central Coast wineries.
