we went there for dinner because of lots of great reviews, and were disappointed. We had several appetizers to share, and all were average at best. Sauteed mushrooms were just OK; crab cakes were too hard and pretty tasteless, shrimp crostini were not bad. The candied walnut gorgonzola salad was prepared with romaine lettuce, for some reason, instead of mixed... more

My Husband and I were celerbarating our 25th anniversary with a 3 week trip t the US. We decided to stay in Cambria because of my research on the net. We stayed at the Fogcatcher Inn which we would highly recommend. We got in late on a dark, rainy, stormy night. After checking in we wondered up the road and... more

This is a wonderfully quaint and classy restaurant with exceptional cuisine and service. It has an absolutely gorgeous coastal view which can be enjoyed from inside as well as from their large outdoor patio area. My wife and I celebrated our first anniversary in Cambria and had very disappointing dining experiences until we found Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill. Their... more

The waitress was fun and helpful. We arrived just before sunset . It was fabulious. The staff turned down the lighting at that time. This would be a very romantic place to eat. The four of us each ordered a different dinner, so we could try different things. The seafood pasta was loaded with different fish. The oysters were hugh,... more

Four of us ate a lunch and dinner here, all the food was fresh and tasted great. The service was very good, we sat outside which although the evening was a little chillly it was fine with the patio heating, (they also have blankets available). The restaurant is directly opposite the beach just across a quiet road and was a... more

With warm weather, the outside dining was very nice. The food was, in my opinion excellent. My wife and I had the Mahi Mahi with a cajun shrimp lobster sauce, wild rice and vegetables. I had the clam chowder sout which was very thick and creamy. the Mahi Mahi was very fresh and firm. The sauce was wonderful. The wild... more

I had the chicken one night and the sea bass the next. Both were very good, especially the fish. We had to wait 20 minutes but that was so we could get a spot outside at sunset. This is the only restaurant in Cambria on Moonstone Beach. I think it was worth the money. more

We had lunch here on the deck facing the Pacific at the recommendation of dear friends who had included the Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill in their California visit several years ago. We thought that the food was very good--we both had the Albacore tuna sandwiches from the lunch menu. They were huge and delicious, and accompanied by some excellent... more
