Worth the wait

They don't take reservations and people start lining up at 4p for the 5p opening. You can get a drink and enjoy the outdoor fire pit while you wait. Great seafood and friendly staff. Worth the (sometimes long) wait.

What's the fuss and hype about this place? I wanted some fresh oysters and We were only staying next door so this was convenient. They don't take reservations so I put our name down. Hubby wanted to walk away saying a place not taking reservations is full of themselves and is only concerned about making money with the quick turnover.... More

It was a Wednesday evening and there was a crowd. I wanted to see if the hype about this place was true. I was not let down. The service was very quick and pleasant. Our view of the sunset was amazing. I had the calamari steak which was perfectly breaded and not "cakey" if that's a word. I've always had... More

we loved the atmosphere , it was busy, we had to wait around an hour, but no worries, the wine helped. Our food was nice, I had pretty good scallops with pasta and my husband had Alaskan halibut. Pretty good too, his fish was slightly overdone, but it is ok , we were very hungry and therefore very forgiving. The... More

They don't take reservations or credit cards, so bring plenty of cash and arrive at least 45 minutes before they open if you want to have dinner while watching the sun set on the ocean (and get in when you want). However, bring along a bottle of wine and a couple of glasses and enjoy the wait in line, it's... More

unlike some other reviews i have no complaints with the staff who were all very professional and helpful. only the food was not that good and very expensive. the mussels were too chewy and overcooked and the broth was not very tasty. i ordered a non fish dish of pasta primavera which was quite good but at $25? salads were... Right off, there are ground rules. (1) They open at 530 PM and are full up by 6, maybe earlier, so expect to wait about 30 min or more depending on the time of week/season. (2) Plus, yes, this is a cash only place: no credit cards. (3) And finally, beer and wine only. Them's the rules. That said, wait... More

My wife and I enjoyed our Dinner at the Sea Chest. The seafood was fresh and the accomodations were excellent. My only complaint is they didn't accept any Credit Cards. They did have an ATM on site. However, we were charged a fee for using it.

We were staying just a couple of doors down from the Sea Chest so we were excited to see so many favorable reviews on TripAdvisor. We put our names in about 6:15, and were told there would be a table around 7. So, we went for a walk along the beach, checked back in at the restaurant & were promptly... More
