A nice dinner in Cambria

Very good, especially for Cambria. We started with the crab cakes, which were tasty but had a bit of shell in them. My wife's sea bass was excellent, nicely complemented by a generous helping of wasabi mashed potatoes. I had the scampi, very good but served with an underseasoned helping of plain... read more

Great Food! Lots of local. And the wine was not expensive - for the area. But the food is so good, even my 12-year-old said, "We have to go back there."

Do not be fooled by the appearance, food is very good, very stimulating and rich with subtle nuances! We loved the scallops and the tuna: very rather unique flavor pairing! Abalone starter a surprise, and believe it or not, we enjoyed the crab and shrimp cakes...

The atmosphere was quiet and romantic. The food was good but not amazing. With that being said, it is still the best thing we have had in Cambria. It didn't disappoint. The service was great even though our waitress was working the whole restuaruant. I was very impressed with how she attended to everyone and kept everyone happy. Would go... More

Black Cat is an upper-end restaurant, set off from the street in Cambria. Expect to pay high 20's-mid 30's for your entree. But they are an award-winning restaurant and understandably so. Only thing kind of strange is that we ate late on a Sunday and for most of the time, we were the only ones in the place. Seems strange... More

Excellent food and a great wine list. The experience was relaxed but a very nice upscale ambiance, make reservations!

This place isn't exactly easy to find and doesn't look like much from the outside. But you can tell that it is used by locals for special occasions. You should go there and make it a special occasion! It isn't cheap but the quality of the food make you forget that. All four of us were very happy with what... More

We stopped here on our first night in Cambria based on a review in Fodors. So glad we did, it was AWESOME! We sat at the bar, had a lovely bottle of local wine, enjoyed their delicious fried, stuffed olives and two entrees (tasty lake fish and a stuffed pork chop). We were so full, but the desserts also looked... More

We had a great time. My boyfriend had the stuffed pork chop (omg)and I had the scallops really good. The pistachio gelato was to end a perfectly rich dinner. Second time we have come here and we love it.
