The smells from the restaurant were amazing from the minute we walked in. We celebrated our anniversary with a great bottle of wine (Linnea Calodo Sticks and Stones), shared the stone fruit salad, and then Duck Breast for me and Braised Rabbit for my husband. It was a delicous dinner and one to remember. Thanks Black Cat Bistro for making... More

We had a very nice meal here. The restaurant is in downtown Cambria and is one of the older houses in town. Dinner is served at small tables set in one of the small rooms and so is very intimate. The service was good, menu choices excellent and all very fresh. Do not leave without trying the sticky toffee pudding!

We had a very romantic meal. We started with duck appetizer. My husband had a beef dish and I had lamb shanks. Food was great! We brought our own wine and they charge corkage fee. Overall we had a great experience.

The menu here is very, very, eclectic and limited. Know you're going to find something to eat before you go

We thought the service at the Black Cat outstanding, and the place itself cozy. As is standard now with "gourmet" restaurants, all the ingredients of the dishes are listed, arousing expectations which are not necessarily the same as those of the chef. The whitefish with potatoes, beans and other vegetables, was a beautiful and flavorful dish. The strozzapreti were a... More

Reviews were high for this restaurant but I was underwhelmed. They definitely are experimental with the food preparation and they rotate their menu, so maybe it just didn't mesh well with my tastes. Might try again on a future visit to Cambria.

Our innkeeper booked us somewhere else for dinner but we didn't like the menu so we found this through Trip Advisor. We had an incredible dinner of pork belly, abalone, steel head trout and duck breast. Beautifully prepared with great service by a friendly and knowledgable staff. Great recommendation on a bottle of local wine. Highly recommend.

Seriously. You must go to this restaurant. The staff are attentive, the beer/wine is local and delicious and the food, the superlative examples of everything you've ever tasted.

The food was great. The wait staff very friendly. The wine selection by the glass was local. The atmosphere was very pleasant. A great experience all around.

The decor and ambiance are cozy, but this wasn't the upscale experience we'd expected. The service was ok, but a bit absent-minded. It felt as though they were understaffed for a summer weekend. The food was good, but nothing to rave about. I had the rabbit, which wasn't quite as good as my husband's steak. The appetizer's were more impressive... More
