Did we expect too much?

Our motel recommended this place and TA reviews rated it quite highly. Service was very friendly and efficient, prices were reasonable for food and beverages. But, it must be us because we thought our pizza's less than good. Not very hot and the topping just did not hit the spot, even though... read more

Stopped here after looking through the shops in town. The restaurant was very clean. The service wasn't the fastest but was adequate. The pizza I had was excellent. Not at all greasy and nice thin crust. My husband had the minestrone soup. He really liked it. Can't remember what my daughter ordered but she was happy with her food as... More

We trekked down the hiking path from our cabin to downtown looking for restaurants for dinner. Because we came in early June, not much was open yet. I like Italian food. And mom & pop places usually have excellent cooks with excellent food and a homey atmosphere. Excellent food? Well, I would say it was close to it. =) I... More

Stopped here after visiting Hearst Castle looking for a quick bite. Had wanted to try The Sow's Ear but they're only open for dinner. At first we were going to share a pizza but then decided to have sandwiches. Ordered a meatball sandwich and a Italian sub. Both were presented toasted and were quite large. However, the meatball sandwich seemed... More

We weren't interested in a big fancy meal and Lombardi's looked interesting. I had a simple house salad and the cheese pizza and my wife had the soup of the day. For what we wanted it satisfied us. Service was good and efficient.

We had the meat pizza. It was thin crust, tasty and pretty good. We did not have occaisons to use the restrooms so we cannt comment on what some reviewers wrote. The service was attentive.

On my second night in Cambria, I decided that I refused to spend $28 on a dinner entree at one of the fancy restaurants lining the main drag - so I decided to go back to Lombardi's, where I had a really decent meal a few years before. Yes, Lombardi's is a hole-in-the-wall and they could use some updating of... More

We stopped in Cambria on our way from LA to San Francisco and randomly chose this restaurant but it was seriously the best ever and our waitress was so nice and energetic. We had the bruschetta and pepperoni pizza and both were amazing. My brother had the fettuccine alfredo and he said it was the best he ever had (he's... More
