Hometown diner with good food and service

Nice little shop tucked away in Cambria. The Eggs Benedict were very well prepared; as was the Eggs Florentine. Orange Juice is overpriced, so it might be advisable to stick with coffee or just water. Although it is advertised as fresh squeezed, it's a small glass and nothing exceptional. All in... read more

All in all, a great breakfast place and I definitely would... More

Having had the chance to live in the Carolinas, the grits was horrible! The pancakes were ok. The hash browns were drenched in oil. However, the service was great. Well the smaller Mexican female server was a very friendly and attentive one. The other sever who is a little heftier was unfriendly and a bit rude actually. I gave this... More

My boyfriend and I have been here 3 times, 2 for breakfast and one for lunch on valentine's day. The food is always delicious, the prices are reasonable, and the service is excellent. The employees are quick to greet you and help you.

You know you're in the right place when you see the "regulars" of the town on a Sunday morning. This food was very tasty, we could tell this place has a history and the decor is interesting (antiques). Rick (the manager) was very welcoming too. We went here two days in a row while staying in Cambria.

Had breakfast here, fresh blueberry pancakes for my husband, cheese and green chili omelet, with a side of biscuit and gravy. Some of the best gravy on my biscuit ever, pancakes loaded with blueberries. Large and filling breakfast at a fair price. Only open for breakfast and lunch, inside and outside dining. Very friendly and fast service, don't expect fancy,... More

The restaurant at our hotel in San Simeon was full, so we headed to Cambria for breakfast. Took a bit to navigate, but ended up at the Redwood Cafe. Wow, great place. We had a lovely table out front, with fast friendly service and great food. They had some specials on the board which some of us had. I did... More

Typical breakfast joint. Food was good, nothing special but not bad either. It was just a typical place. Don't go with high expectations and you won't be disappointed. Nice people. But everyone in Cambria is nice.

What a gem. Big servings, friendly service, yummy food....Definetly a very good find. We stopped for breakfast and stayed a while. Only complaint, the packaged jams and butter. I prefer homemade products over comercial ones.

We have not eaten breakfast here but the menu looks great! Instead we opted for lunch. We shared a bowl of chicken tortilla soup and a huge avocado club sandwich and serving of fries. Very filling for the two of us and very tasty. The prices were very good. A definite place to add to our list when we visit... More
