Average. We could have done better if we cooked at home! Lobster "pot pie" was drenched in a heavy cream sauce. The short ribs were tasteless. The wine arrived warm and we asked 3 times for a wine bucket to chill it. The wine pricing was reasonable.

We were there on Thanksgiving. This place is very tiny and they really jam you into every corner. I felt very uncomfortable. Seemed like the tables were almost touching. Food was nothing special to me & way over priced. Only thing good is the flower pot bread. Can not get a cocktail unless you go down the street to a... More

they were really busy that nite yet the staff did a great job. sadly the food was just soso and there was dust on a little shelf along the back wall that was distracting from the ambiance...we'll try it again another time..could have just been a rough nite.

I am sort of confused by the other reviews with 5 stars. People, 5 stars is for fine cuisine or what you would eat for your last meal on earth...not overcooked meat. I am giving Sow's Ear an average rating because my fish was good, but my husband's mixed grill (special for the night) was not good at all. It... More

6 of us for dinner at 7. No problem. I had the rack of lamb and a glass of wine. The lamb was up with the best I've ever had and the Zin suggested by our waitress was extremely good. Everyone claimed to enjoy their meal.

Service was nice, atmosphere was nice, but the food was really average. In fact the catfish was below average. It was very overcooked and there were more nuts smothering it then there was fish itself. Play it safe and ordered the perfectly fine but average short ribs.

We went there as we read the review were good. The food was just OK, my husband got the Grilled special and everything was overcooked, they brought bread once and never asked if we wanted more, we were sharing dishes due to be such big portions in the US they never asked whether we wanted another plate. The service took... More

We made reservations at the last minute and were so happy we went. We were seated in the back, and loved the atmosphere, Servers were helpful and friendly. The flowerpot bread is a nice touch and pretty yummy, warm out of the oven, The special was filet mignon, cooked perfect and delicious. My sister-in-law and I wanted to share a... More

I want to start my review by saying we had dinner at the Sow's Ear on a mid-Nov Sunday night. The cuisine preparation maybe better during the week. Let me start by saying the atmosphere and ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting. You feel welcomed and comfortable from the moment you walk through the door. My husband and... More

This restaurant was recommended by the Fogcather Inn front desk. Got lost initially trying to find the place but persevered and boy am I glad. Asked the waited for suggestions and he said the Beef Brisket and Chicken Fried Steak are their specialties. You rarely see either one of these items on a menu so we ordered both. I could... More
