A place to unwind

We picked this place after reading the reviews. The staff was very nice and attentive. The food was pretty good. Needed one more element to put it over the top. The place is very small and rustic, but it is nice to just relax and unwind. Nice wine selection.

My wife and I dropped in without reservations, on Fathers Day, and they seated us right away. The staff seemed a little overwhelmed, but once we ordered things picked up. The food was very good, and the prices were appropriate. The main room is a little small and crowded, but the atmosphere was pleasant.

The food was good but not great. My boyfriend had the lobster pot pie. He thought the sauce was flavorful and had large chunks of lobster, but the lobster was rather chewy and didn't have a great lobster taste. I had the salmon baked in parchment paper and it seemed a little hard and dry so I took some of... More

Nice cozy atmosphere. Great place for a romantic dinner. Excellent food and service. There is a room with a fireplace as well as an area with more secluded seating for romantic dinner.

We selected the Sow's Ear based on the reviews but found our meals to be under seasoned and average. That said, the veggie side was very good. The atmosphere was cozy and we liked the early bird menu option. We wished we had found a tastier dinner but the quality of the food was good - just blah.

The Sow's Ear has been a favorite dinner spot for my wife and I for years when we've visited Cambria and it has never disappointed us. We recently had dinner on our 43rd anniversary here and the super friendly service, excellent food and cozy atmosphere made for the perfect wrap-up to our special day.

We stayed in Moonstone Landing for one night and the girl on reception recommend this restaurant. It is very cosy with a lovely atmosphere. The food was amazing for the price. The staff were attentive and nothing was too much trouble. We spoke to a couple at the next table and finished our drinks with them. We had a lovely... More

We wandered in to this restaurant after a day of driving. It was hands down the best meal we have ever had. We ordered the brie and the calamari off the appetizer menu and it was a lot of food. Great wine list, great staff. Highly recommend!

This is a great little restaurant - quiet and casually elegant. The food is quite good - I had the halibut and it was baked just right. The prices are fair for the food you get. This may not be the place to dine with small children but for adults, it's well worth a visit.

We decided to eat here based on the reviews while while staying 1 night in Cambria. The service was fairly average and we were seated in the back half of the restaurant in a dark corner. I had the shrimp scampi which was bland and my wife had the stuffed chicken breast which was ok at best, but for the... More
