Funny name, good food.

Although the place is a little cramped the food was delicious and the service was great. They have a good variety and everything was very fresh and well prepared.

Very rustic restaurant in the middle of town. Has nice fire place in the middle of the restaurant. Nothing fancy but just good old fashioned comfort food. We had the crusted halibut which was cooked just right. Our son had the beef short ribs over mashed potatoes which was very good. This is a great place on a cold night... More

Looking for a place to eat while we were visiting Hearst castle and the reviews made our decision. Cute little restaurant, kids enjoyed the bread, good wine list. I had the chicken and dumplings and was very disappointed. Stay away from that menu item. Wife had the pot roast and it as good. The service was excellent. I would try... More

Was able to get a table for 4 without reservation but just lucky since the dining rooms were packed. Excellent wine list at reasonable prices. Food was very creative and tasty. A two part bread baked and served in a terra cotta flower pot was a unique opener. The lobster pot pie was full of lobster in a creamy sauce... More

nostalgia for wife and I. Got the Kobe Sirloin, was a bit overcooked. The baby back ribs were good. Should have ordered the Rib Eye or the Filet. Same décor as when we were here years ago. Think they have good wine selection and desert, didn't get to try those, in a hurry to see sunset.

This is not your average meal. I had a stuffed chicken dish that was excellent. My husband had the halibut and it was wonderful. You could compare this to any fine restaurant and it would come out on top.

This is a serious restaurant with good food and service. The old time cottage atmosphere and 50's music might lead you to expect tasteless uninspired food. But the food is fresh and well prepared and the service is professional. My salmon was perfectly prepared and the others at my table enjoyed a peach glazed chicken breast, and 2 pasta dishes.... Somewhat dark interior, unless you get a table on the street half of the restaurant. Filled with clutter of porcelain pigs. Very nice starter salad, and tasty scallops over linguini with rosemary sauce. The short ribs were too salty for me to eat (could only manage one bite) but the restaurant was kind enough to take it off the bill.

Trendy and a bit overpriced for the range of menu choices and over all aesthetic. Music didn't fit the atmosphere and was a bit loud. Our server and busser however, were awesome. Genuinely friendly and helpful with selections as well as breakfast spot recommendations.

They serve bread baked in a clay flower pot and the bread is white on one side and dark on the other. Really cool. My wife enjoyed the rack of lamb and I had the seafood stew. Desert. Of course. And it was really great. Don't miss out on this dinner experience.
