Our experience was frightening. I was assaulted by the owner for asking for picatta sauce on the salmon risotto dish. Instead the meal was served with nothing on it at all. When I insisted that it needed sauce, the owner took a knife and threw it down on my plate and food splatter all over me. It scared me and... More

Always delicious. Small and friendly place in, yes, a stripmall. Great garlicky homemade bread to start. Fish entrees are fresh and flavorful, and prepared just right. Risotto dishes are rich and so good. Never had a not-perfect meal.

Ventura County isn't known as a gastronomic destination, but with more restaurants like Bistro 13 it certainly could be. Though located at the eastern edge of Camarillo beneath the Conejo Grade in a shopping center the interior ambiance is cozy. Owner Giovanni Tromba - acting as host & bartender - is charming and accommodating. The food was delightful. We arranged... More

I can't think of a restaurant in the whole county that has a better menu, better tasting food or better service. It is a consistantly perfect place to eat.

We were going to the independent movie house in Camarillo and decided to try Bistro 13 for the first time. While it's in a strip mall, the place is nicely decorated, the food very good, and the staff extremely helpful. I had the special fish, halibut, and it was quite good and served very hot. My husband had a chicken... More

I go here about 4 Times a year and I love their calamari. Their seafood pasta is always good too. The servers are great. .. can't say anything bad about this restaurant except parking is a problem on weekdays so go there early

From the pink chowder to the lobster ravioli and the seafood cioppino, Bistro 13 serves up great food in a great atmosphere. Family friendly with half portion pastas available for the kids. Also great for couples and friends wanting to go out and have a great meal. The owner and staff are very warm and welcoming.

My husband and I were staying at the Courtyard Hotel in Camarillo. I had given an all day seminar and my husband wanted to take me out to dinner as a special treat. This restaurant is just a short walk from the hotel. When we walked in, we found it to be cozy and friendly. My husband had a seafood... More

We were dining at Bistro 13 with friends who do not eat chicken. One of the entrees was chicken. They asked the owner to substitute pork for the chicken which was done. Their mushroom risotto is excellent. This is a restaurant to which we will return again and again.
