Who wants mini-mall sushi? Not me! I've had enough of that stuff to know better. However, this place really knows their stuff. Authentic sushi chefs present a very nice variety of flavors and types. We love spicy, and were not let down with the spicy dragon roll (both red and black!). The unagi was very fresh and tasty. We had... More

The WORST dining experience I have had in my life! I don't usually write negative reviews for places, but I am so appalled at the experience we had tonight I can't stay quiet! I realize that I may have made some mistakes this evening, but my overall experience tonight has felt almost unreal... Mistake number one: Going to sushi on... More

The restaurant was taken over by non-Japnese. It is ok but not my favorite. The fish is fresh! The size and decor is lacking.

But why is it that the rolls fall apart here more than anywhere else we go?? Frustrating.

Not only does this place have the best sushi in the area but the experience of sitting at the bar and watching Masa and Stan work their magic is priceless. The entire family is friendly and efficient. Notable dishes for this diner are, mussels in butter sauce, shrimp and scallop in black pepper lemon butter sauce, second to their sashimi... More

I've been to sushi restaurants all over, it's the best by far. Been coming here since 1989 and will continue. Masa and staff are attentive, sincere and serve only the finest food. Get there early!

I've been going here since my mom was pregnant with me/ it may have something to do with my addiction but seriously I've travelled around the world (literally just got back from 8 months of traveling around the south pacific) & I've eaten at many different sushi restaurants all over Ventura county/ southern california & san francisco...MASA SUSHI's is the... I've never before seen a restaurant where you can walk in and be "part of the crowd" right off the bat. There's definitely a party atmosphere at Masa Sushi. I've been there several different days of the week for dinner, and it's always packed. The menu carry's a little bit of everything, and new additions are constantly being made. You... More

Family owned homey environment. Friendly staff and Masa is FUNNY, especially around happy hour. Not too expensive, quality fish and portion size. I would spend $300 a week here if I could afford it. Always joke that I will cater my wedding by them when I get married
