Can't understand why anyone who wasn't stuck at the Camarillo airport would ever eat here. Average diner food at best. Nothing exceptional at all.
We braved going on a Sunday morning but didn't have to wait too long because we arrived before the after-church crowd. Later, the lines grew longer. We had a choice if indoor seating with a view of the port runway and parking for small private planes or outside on the patio with the same view. Since it was early enough... More
I stopped in here for a quick business lunch and was very pleasantly suprised. I'll say this, you better arrive before 11AM if you don't want to wait! I visisted on a day when they were Bar-B-Queing Tri-Tip. I went for the Tri-Tip sandwich and it was AMAZING! The atmosphere is great. Window and Patio almost on the flight line... More
There is no better place to enjoy it all in Camarillo than the Waypoint Café located at the Camarillo Airport. Both the food and service are spot on. Four of us enjoyed Camarillo’s beautiful weather, people and plane watching, and the good food. One entrée was chicken fried steak that was excellent. My Belgian waffle was very good the only... More
Pleasant service and excellent food. Camarillo Airport (Oxnard Air Force Base originally) is not just an "airstrip"
Breakfast and lunch are served at this bustling diner. The diner overlooks the runway of the camarillo airport, a small air strip. Pilots land their planes, get some lunch, and take off again. I imagine kids would like it here. Service is quick and consistently good. Standard diner fare, including omelets and sandwiches. Portions are pretty large. There are daily... More
Food is above average. Wait is a little long. Recently after a redesign crowds have flocked in and unless you come at 9am there is no hope for a table on weekends. They close at 3pm and there is no supper
We met some friends there for breakfast when we were traveling through the area upon their suggestion and it was very nice. Interesting watching the planes and helicopters come and go! We sat outside on their patio area and smelled the tri tip on the barbecue!! Simply delightful.
A nice little cafe to relax and watch the planes. The employees seem to be good people.. Nice place
This is a cafe located next to a small airport. You can watch the planes from inside or on a patio outside. The atmosphere is focused on the planes and photos of planes inside; the furniture is just diner style inside and plastic chairs outside. It can get busy on the weekends when a lot of pilots fly in. During... More
