Nice casual restaurant with good food

We pulled into Clistoga looking for a late breakfast/lunch place. The restaurant is super cozy with ample seating. I had scrambled eggs and potato pancakes with added corn, zucchini, peppers, and scallions served with several slices of smoked salmon and sour cream (a new menu item). Delicious! My... read more

We stayed in Calistoga in June 2015 and ate breakfast twice at Cafe Sarafornia. We went about 8 am and could walk right in and get a table. Service was fast and courteous and the food was absolutely excellent. I had an omelette one day and pancakes the next. My husband had an omelette and then French toast-all super good.

This was a nice spot for a weekend brunch. I liked that there was a dish that offered all of the things I wanted to eat, but in small portions. My husband, on the other hand, got a heaping plateful, also at a reasonable cost. It wasn't anything fancy. The syrup really was sticky (as another reviewer snarked about). But... More

we stopped in here for breakfast because it was crowded. Many other choices in the area but this was the one with all the people. Had a great breakfast and sat outside on "main street" so the people watching was an added bonus.

Had lunch there which was ok fare. Tables and condiments could have been much cleaner as could the restaurant floor.

We wanted to get out and about the first morning after we arrived so we decided to go out to breakfast. I had passed the Cafe on my way to Solage and it came up as well rated so we went. The food was not spectacular but good. The coffee was above average. The service was ok....it was VERY busy.... More

Food? In a word....Awful. Bagel was burned, chorizo was not chorizo not sure what it was but it tasted like canned spaghetti sauce served over mushy potatoes. For the price they charge I was expecting a 4 star breakfast. The waitress however after seeing we didn't eat our meal except for the bagel and a few bites comped us without... More

I had a fabulous WildKat Scramble. The place was busy and it was clear why. It was the perfect breakfast stop.

Wonderful breakfast with diverse menu and excellent service even when the restaurant was full. Great coffee. We ate there both mornings we were at the Spa.

Best spot in Calistoga for breakfast, and no slouch at lunch, either. Standard diner food, but with some Mexican flair and a unique twist on a few standard specialty dishes (the Brennan Benedict swaps out Canadian Bacon for bacon on a serving of guacamole on English muffin, topped with poached eggs and gravy, while the Huevos Rancheros dish is happy...
