Outstanding food cooked and seasoned to perfection. Great atmosphere, quality service followed by wonderful Apple Crisp dessert, coffee and cognac. What more to ask for following a hard day of wine tasting

We r a group that's been coming for decades to Calistoga and when Brannan's first opened we loved it. Over time we became less enchanted as the prices rose and the food and service went down.....now we just go for drinks....sometimes appetizers. Last night two of us came early, went Brannan's. $5.00 for Bread and butter--seriously..?..and not particularly delish.shrimp cocktail... More

While traveling in Napa we stopped at Brennan's for dinner. Nice selection of local wines though nothing inexpensive. Paying five dollars for the bread was a new one on me. I had the pork chop which was excellent and the corn and beans side was phenomenal. My wife and daughter had the filet and strip respectively which both enjoyed. Mac... More

We chose this restaurant based upon its ambience. The location was close to our hotel & it looked nice with a decent menu. Yes, we paid for the bread, but it was good. The steaks were small for their stated ounces. The mashed potatoes with one of the steaks had a large piece of waxed paper in it. By the... More

We (a group of 6) ate here last Saturday night. Because we were a group of 6, they slapped on an 18% service charge and we got lackluster service from beginning to end. Normally, the servers in Napa are a friendly and fun bunch - not ours. What is the world coming to when they charge for bread? And it... More

I wanted to take my husband to a nice restaurant while in Calistoga. The ambiance here is very nice, and the food is alright. We had to purchase bread and butter for $5 but it came toasted in a cast-iron pan with melted garlic butter on it. It was tasty, but I wasn't happy that it wasn't included. My husband... More

We dined here over the Valentine's weekend and were wildly impressed. The hostess greeted and sat us immediately even though the restaurant was practically full, the server approached within minutes and offered us cocktails and the food was better than most of the restaurants we've tried in both ST Helena and Calistoga. We had the Roast New York and it... More

We actually got up and left. First we were seated in a sea of tables (ten) that were all being served by one server. - on two different levels. The first shock we received was that the least expensive glass of Pinot was $16 ~ which might seem reasonable for the 1%, but we are working class people. The next... More

We have favorite restaurants in Calistoga, but wanted to find something new. Brannan's Grill is an attractive restaurant and felt very welcoming. Unfortunately, the food wasn't very good. My salmon was okay, but the swiss chard was sandy, which ruined the whole thing. The risotto was gluey, and the salads were overdressed. The people who ordered fish and chips were... More

If it wasn't for the tourist trade, this place would not exist. Food is mediocre and way overpriced. Atmosphere is loud.
