Great sandwich place, quality food

We had just arrived into town and wanted to grab a bite to eat prior to heading to our cottage. Sandwiches were great and service was quick and easy. Prices were good.

Had a choice of about 4 restaurants for lunch. All menus in Calistoga look good but this place had such beautiful white tablecloths and decor that it drew us in. What a good choice. The waiter was outstanding. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We ate light with salads that were fantastic. Super fresh ingredients, perfectly cooked moist chicken and that perfect... More

I found the bistro atmosphere to be lovely and a change from the newer boutique style restaurants. The portions are incredible, we didn't leave hungry. The salad was fresh. I had the lamb shank which was really one of the best I've ever had. It was cooked to perfection. The bed of polenta was ok maybe a little heavy on... More

Left a perfect review last visit... but this one barely squeaked by as "very good." The same server was there as before... but he was having a bad night... or just wasn't into it. He left us forever before returning for our order... he was busy organizing the candles...and we wanted to order a bottle of champagne before dinner. We... More

Dinner was great, revisited for Lunch: It was outstanding. Nothing over the top, everything was down to earth good tasting food. The Hamburger was money, the Rueben was great. Wine list is one of the best in town easily.

Had dinner on 4/29/2015. Rib Eye was spectacular. Well flavored and cook to medium-rare specs. My guest had the lasagna and was very impressed. Every ingredient was fresh. Excellent service; attentive, but not intrusive. I've eaten at numerous restaurants in Calistoga over the years, but this was my first dinner here. Will absolutely return!

tonight we both had the asparagus soup, which was very fresh and flavorful, as well as the duck breast in an excellent cherry sauce with carrots, squash, and black rice. They have an extensive wine list that is incredibly reasonably priced, so we had a ten year old Ramey Syrah which drank perfectly with our meals. I love dessert, and... More

I had the seafood risotto, my husband the lamb shank. Both dishes delicious but you better come hungry, very large portions. Staff very accommodating as well, wine suggestion also great.

We showed up for dinner with seven people. We were the only ones in the restaurant, so that worried us. Dinner was actually very good though. We had everything from the chicken to the risotto to the duck and even the burger. Everything was very good. The owner personally gave us great service. Try it!

good place for traditional bistro fare. We've eaten here a number of times and enjoyed it each visit. The wine list is very extensive and very well-priced. Not many places where you can afford a good, aged Cabernet. From the cassoulet to the salmon, the roast chicken, the steak, nice soups. Always good and friendly service.
