OK, so I read the other reviews. Yes, it looks like a fast food place. But I had a delicious chicken bacon wrap ($9) - lots of fried chicken, lots of bacon, plus lettuce, tomatoes and a ranch dressing to die for. My dad got fish and chips ($9) - just so-so, but what can you expect from a place... More

I am a huge fan of asking the locals where to eat..... however this time it back fired. Hy hubby got a cheese burger and was about the size of a coster from a bar and he said it tasted about the same. He went to get his one free sore refill(the only redeeming part) and saw the cook taking... More

Was in Calistoga with a friend from out of town who had never been. After wine tasting and visiting Old Faithful I suggested we eat here because I'd always wanted to try it. Huge mistake! 30 minutes after ordering my friend was told the didn't have anymore chicken for his chicken sandwich. He then ordered a tri tip sandwich. Our... More

Been meaning to try it for over a year - located in one of the places that you are always on the way to somewhere with a purpose so don't make the detour to go. We finally went and it was a 4/10 for us. Service was ok. The atmosphere is fast food-esque and that's ok. The food was small... More

This place used to be epic when it was Matt's Hamburgers and even the original owners of Home Plate were good at cooking greasy spoon food. This place is still ok for milkshakes and occasionally you can get a decent burger and fries, but they have become pretty much a perveyor of lower quality food and cater to more of... More

Needed an inexpensive place for lunch while visiting this area. From the outside, it looked like a nice sit-down restaurant. Once inside, saw it was like a fast-food place. Smelled greasy and if husband had not been very hungry, would have left. He had the hamburger and fries- while he said were good. Fries were kinda overdone. I had the... More

We stopped on the way out of town for lunch, and really enjoyed this place. It was being run by (I think) a brother and sister--him doing the cooking and her taking orders. They shared serving. It was busy, but they kept their cools like a couple of pros! We both had juicy, delicious cheeseburger, fries that were really crips... More

I have been coming here occasionally for over 10 years and have never once been dissatisfied with my order or my service. The employees are always friendly and the food is always great. Their chef salads, burgers and especially hand made milkshakes with almost every flavor ice cream have kept me coming back all these years !

Mary's does not take American Express, the chicken was way overcooked, had to wait because there was only a staff of two, one cook and one cashier.
