It was a gorgeous, sunny day, and our anniversary as well. After a visit to the Chateau Montelena winery, we decided to stop at Solbar for lunch! That was one of our best decisions on this trip!!! Their Beet Salad is simply incredible, and when paired with the Solage Cabernet, it was just PERFECT! We also enjoyed the Burger and... More

Pork for two enough for four. Ceasar salad, fried chicken, fish tacos presentations nice.setting elegant, very nice & accomodating service staff. A stand out busser Christian aka "can do" ran to get brochure, we asked for hot towel to wipe hands & boom! On it. Nice asset to the staff & our experience. Refered by Dennis @ Frank Family during... I was taken to Solbar by a friend for lunch during a wine tasting excursion to Napa valley. It's located in a spa resort, in a large room with a high ceiling. There are beautiful views of the flowers, fountains and hills outside. The food was light and fresh. I had the tuna burger, which was delicious, and which was... More

We Were So Lucky To Find This Wonderful Restaurant. Tucked away in the beautiful Calistoga area of Napa valley is this gem of a restaurant. Complimentary valet parking makes it easy to breeze in. I had the Lavash. How could something that simple taste that good? OK, I was bad and ordered the French Fries. They were hot as they... More

The experience at Solbar has always been excellent; however, both the dinner menu and breakfast menu this visit seemed lacking. The breakfast menu was bland and uninspired. Dinner menu had some odd items, even for those in our group who are adventurous foodies who will try anything. We found that 2 out of 4 people in our party ordered from... More

We were cycling and the folks at Calistoga Bike Shop suggested we stop here for lunch. Lucky us there was a table. The food and the service were excellent. I would say though don't go for the aesthetic. Very pedestrian and ordinary for a resort that purports to be special.

We couldn't get seated in the main restaurant of this resort, but found out we could order food in the lounge area. The bar menu is much less expensive and more casual than in the restaurant -- and the food couldn't have been better! We sat outside and loved the ambiance. I recommend their pizza -- we went back several... More

Our experience at Solbar was wonderful! The food was delicious, the outdoor atmosphere was great, and the service was outstanding. Our waiter and his assistant, Scott and Ahmed, were professional, but fun and easy going while also very attentive. A lovely experience!

The initial attraction was the celebrity chef with the Michelin star at a resort spa restaurant. Great setting. But,the staff was immature and not completely professional or knowledgable, and the inside was far to dark to eat (ie moody). The menu is not that large, but adeqaute. Good interpretation of heirloom tomatoes, and octupus for apps. Strange agnolotti, told to... More
