I'm sure there are dozens of wonderful places to eat seafood in the San Fernando Valley-- I just haven't found them yet. Last weekend's lunch at King's Fish House was a definite step in the right direction. It's a huge place with an equally huge outside seating area, and an enormous menu to match. Where does one begin? Appetizers, salads,... More

And then .....it wasn't. I thought they had gone to catch the fish the length of time it took. Ages and ages before a drink order was taken and even longer for the drinks to arrive. Busy? No......and no wonder.

The food is good with a very large menu, but the service can be very, very slow. It is so close to my new home that I expected to spend a lot of time there, however, it is not my favorite place to go in Calabasas. But, I must say, it is usually pretty packed, so others must be enjoying... More

I have lived and worked in Calabasas for over 19 years, yet King's Fish House is the only restaurant that I come back to. It has a very nice patio, with misters, ideal for hot Summer nights and it's tucked in the quiet northeast corner of The Commons, with pleasant views of greenery and blooming flowers. It is reasonably priced and... More

I rate a restaurant first on quality of food. Quality = cleanliness, proper preparation, preparation and taste. Service, commitment to customer satisfaction, overall cleanliness, noise factor, infant factor and price are among the other considerations. How this place stays in business and attracts the lines of patrons is a complete mystery to me. It is like trying to figure out... More

It was too hot to sit outside but we enjoyed our indoor meal. Food was well prepared and the service was excellent. Serving size was reasonable for lunch and the prices were good. The ambience was nice for visiting with our friends.

Was seated outside overlooking their pond/waterfall. Very nice spot for lunch. Outside tables were busy, but inside was empty. Ordered a blackened fish sandwich with salad. The food came out on time, except it was grilled. Usually no big deal but sometimes I like it that way. I mentioned to the waitress I wanted blackened and she insisted I said... More

I enjoy Kings. The oyster selection is always good, there are a variety of fresh, seasonal fish and shellfish. The food is always well prepared. My go-to local fish place when I don't want to drive out to Malibu and get stuck in PCH traffic! Kings is always a good choice.

down visiting family,so Kings was suggested for dinner. None of us had ever been here before, so it would be a new experience for all. We made reservations and were promptly seated at our time. The place was very crowded and also very noisy. We could hardly hear each othe or what the waiter was saying! The tables are really... More

The review/info is for May-June 2014. Went several times and ordered halibut in various flavors as a main entree. Each time it came excellent: cooked just enough for safe consumption, while retaining all tenderness, flavor and juices. This restaurant is a little pricy, but it worth it! They have pretty much the save versions of main entrees for both lunch... More
