While I consider sushi just another word for tape worm, if you want sushi, this tiny, like in Japan, almost always packed, sushi bar is not to be missed. No sushi is inexpensive, and this place is no exception, but his fish and menu are as good, if not the best, of any in So. Cal.

Yes, it's small and yes, the waits can be long, but Shibuya makes sublime, spectacular sushi in a tiny suburban strip mall in Calabasas. Whether yellowtail sushi (literally melts in your mouth) or fun rolls (like the Shibuya roll's crunchy goodness), a meal at Shibuya redefined sushi for me. While they don't take reservations, they do provide a clipboard with... More

Elegantly made and delicious - the best quality sushi we have found in the valley. This said, it's too small and the wait is long unless you are really lucky. A few times, we have given up and went to Banzai Sushi across the street (merely ok).

What a great sushi restaurant tucked away in Calabasas. It holds around 6 or 7 tables plus the sushi bar so at around 6:30pm our wait time was around 40 minutes and this was on a Tuesday. It was worth the wait and the sushi was out of this world.. fresh. The daily catch is listed on the wall and... More

The always have great food but this place is super tiny so be prepared to go in right when they open or wait. The food is really good though and worth the wait if you have time.

Shibuya is not just the best sushi restaurant in Calabasas, it is really the best sushi restaurant anywhere in the valley. I know there are trendier (and more costly) sushi options everywhere in LA, but the quality, consistency, variety and just sheer wonderfulness of everything we have tried and eaten at Shibuya far exceeds any of the countless other sushi... The food is incredibly fresh. Everything we tasted was heavenly. The Shibuya Roll was absolutely delicious, but the pieces were cut quite big, making it a bit difficult to eat. The toro and yellowtail both melted in our mouths! j

It's a good thing I don't live near here anymore, because Shibuya's a really great place to go broke. Everything is consistently amazing. Nobu chefs say this is where they eat. Ask for the golden eye with truffle oil, because it sells out fast.

This is by far the best place for sushi eaters. Try the Yellow Tail sushi, Seafood Salad, Stuffed Squid and Shibuya roll (if you like rolls). They never fail to deliver. It's consistently the best.

I am addicted to this place! I go for lunch at least once a week because the fish is so fresh and the presentation wonderful. I was told about it years ago and never went. Then, in this past year, I remembered people speaking very highly about it and decided to give it a go! Immediate addiction- it is excellent... More
