The Riviera has had numerous owners over the past 10 years but the folks now in charge finally have it right. Their latest remodel resulted in an elegant but inviting interior with comfy chairs and plenty of space between tables. This place just seems to have a good vibe to us. There is live music in the bar on weekends.... More

Fresh vegetables, fresh seafood, fresh bread -- if you're looking for REAL food with an Italian/French accent, this is the place. Service is good, but the food is the draw. They were able to take our order, prepare and present many courses and get us on our way in a little over an hour. There also appeared to be a... More

Food is correct, enough reference on the wine list, the service is ok overall rating is average one remark for the US food trend-setter: garlic does marry well with mashed potatoes; thyme or rosemary, olive oil or nutmeg do!

Started with the green salad that was huge and had interesting ingredients cut nicely and well presented, I had high expectations for the main dish. The duck was made nicely and the sweet potato puree was well made, the Broccolii was steamed and cooked correctly but is was just a big peace put on the plate. It could have been... More

This place seemed very popular with the locals, and had a great bar scene, but our service felt a little cold-shouldered when the staff realized we were dressed in less-than-stylish clothes (it is quiet a feat to convince my father to wear something "business casual" but I thought he did a good job). We were forgotten by two separate waiters... More

Maybe we were here on an "off" Saturday night, but I missed the "happening" Calabasas scene. What I found was simply a solid menu with a good selection of Italian dishes, solid service, and a very nice wine list. I enjoyed a Caesar with a very light dressing, while two companions love, love, loved the heirloom and burrata salad. It... More

We Love Riviera , mostly because it accomodates whatever we are in the mood for. A dress up dinner in a back dining room complete with candles, fine linens and a bevy of waitstaff or a casual drink with friends in the bar area watching a ball game. We always feel welcome and the staff are there for your every need... More

A friend recommended that we meet at this restaurant last night and it turned out to be an exceptional choice. The salads were fresh and the entries (fish) were very tasteful. The atmosphere is quaint and pleasant.

Alliteration aside, Riviera Restaurant in Calabasas will be by far one of my favorites when in the Los Angeles area. It's one of those "definitely must" experiences you rave to your friends about. The Riviera product and presentation are very refined and the standards quite high, yet it does it all in a super relaxed manner, well worth it's name... More
