When I was in Burlingame a few days ago, it looked like this place was shuttered. Even in its heyday, it was rather small and never seemed to attract enough traffic. I'm sure a lot of businesses are suffering because of the massive renovation on Burlingame Avenue.

I liked Roti a lot in its first few years of existence. It has a funky charm, with a small downstairs dining area, the kitchen clearly visible, and a twisting staircase that takes you to the upstairs level. Service could be a bit slow, but the food was consistently very good, often excellent -- and generally a fine value. For... More

My family and I visited this Indian Bistro a few days ago during a trip to San Francisco. We liked the place very much. Good Indian decor, without being garish like most other Indian Restuarants, nice food, nice service and good prices too. The place is a little bit small, could definitely do with an expansion as it would have... More

Delicious array of Indian foods - from the usual vegetarian array to items like goat! Not as diverse as the menu at Dosa in San Francisco, but still avery good quality menu. We usually take go with my aunt who enjoys the diversity of food choices too.

The atmosphere at Roti is quaint and romantic. It may be the most romantic Indian restaurant that I have visited. The food is good. I particularly liked the garlic naan. My entree of vindaloo had a flavorful sauce. While it was spicy, it was not vindaloo hot. The chicken was tender, yet thie dish was completely inferior to my usual... More

My wife and i had enjoyed several meals at Roti on our last trip to SFO in December 2007. So on our recent trip to SFO we were really lloking forward to visiting Roti again. However, the recent experience left us disappointed. We had ordered butter Naan and plain Roti but were served just the opposite i.e. butter roti and... More

All of dishes, especially the goat naan, do not disappoint. I find it offensive that other reviewers are offended that the Indian food is not "cheap" as it should be. That's ridiculous. This is upscale gourmet Indian food, not the street food that you get served at most "Indian" restuarants in the Bay Area (Gaylords and Amber are the other... More

The food is ok, but it's too bloody expensive for Indian. Indian food should be cheap, like Mexican!
