Woould not recommend or go back. Prices would be appropriate for a higher quality food product. Unfortunately, quality was poor to average which makes this a double samuri slash to the mouth and wallet. I tried three very basic rolls; spicy tuna, spicy scallop, and salmon avacado. Scallops tasted old and the tuna was pureed. We were never offered water.... More

I won't go as far as to say this restaurant is operating under false pretenses. After all, it does serve what most people would consider "Japanese cuisine." But as best I can tell no one who works there is Japanese nor understands much about authentic Japanese food. All of the employees were speaking in Mandarin Chinese, although the waitresses were... We went here for a birthday celebration with a party of 14. The service was great and the food great quality. We had a fusion of japaneese/chineese food. Some sushi/sashimi and more. I will definitely come back.

Went to Tomokazu's airport joint. Small restaurant, cramped seating, and not-so-friendly staff. If you look at their menu, they expect you to dine in. If you have luggage, they get upset and tell you to move it. For the airport, the food is average. It's a little more expensive as well. If you're craving Japanese though, it'll somewhat suffice.

My wife's uncle took us to Tomokazu in Burlingame during our first visit to San Francisco from Canada. Tomokazu is a big Japanese restaurant owned by two Chinese business partners and run by Chinese staff. The restaurant was surprisingly very busy on a Monday night. The food was good and fresh with good-sized portion with very nice service. A good... More

We visited the airport branch of this restaurant and enjoyed a very good quick sushi and soup before our flight. Small and crowded though still a good feed.

I ordered the Udon with Chicken. After two bites of this almost $10 meal, I abandoned it. The chicken was overcooked, tasteless and fatty. The broth was bland. My husband had the Udon with Beef, it was also bad. I ended up getting a sandwich from another kiosk.

I stopped at this restaurant during a layover in San Francisco. The sushi looked beautiful, but pricey! I decided to get "uncooked" rolls and ended up paying $29.00 for 2 rolls and a drink. Within 30 minutes I became sick, had to leave my flight and be taken to the ER from scromboid poisoning. Had I stayed on my flight,... More

Consistent food and service. Fresh sushi and sashimi. Beef steak cube in spinach was very yummy. Grilled lamb chops and lobster tails are must. Phoenix roll (tempura inside and unagi outside) is also good. Slightly pricey.

Yes this was definitely one of the worst restaurants we've ever been to. The management was very disrespectful, ignorant, and didn't speak proper English. What happened was we ordered a large amount of sushi for us to share and there was one type of sushi that we decided to try for the first time that had a special house sauce... More
