Truly Yummy Food

We happened across this restaurant by accident. Although it is located in a trendy area of Burlingame, the food is affordable and very fresh. Very tiny location - gets busy fast. Saw lots of couples out on dates and spoke to many repeat customers.

First time ever at a Burmese restaurant. We were told to expect a wait, but it ended up being a very short wait. The tea leaf salad was awesome and interesting. Definitely try that. The staff is helpful if you don't know what to order. We over ordered on our food and were sad to be leaving town and unable... More

We happened to be in Burlingame visiting from Japan. Our friends took us to Mingalaba. We weren't sure what to expect as we've had Asian food in its homelands of China, Vietnam, Thailand etc. But Mingalaba is authentic and incredible. Nice staff too in a nice quaint location of downtown Burlingame. Highly recommend it. The prawn dishes especially were fresh... More

Visiting family in the San Francisco area and they suggested we go to Mingalaba as it would be a different culinary experience. Indeed it was - and delicious! The spicing is subtle and nuanced, not just flat out burn your tongue spicing - which was wonderful, especially as I have a low tolerance for hot spices. The tea leaf salad... More

We were here while waiting overnight for a flight out of SFO - an excellent choice, but difficult to park and a long wait to get in. Even when we left at 8:15, there was still a line trailing out the door. It is easy to see why. Their food is wonderful, although to me the green tea salad was... More

Great fresh food that is not greasy and tastes spectacular. Only negatives is that seating is limited and they do not take reservations.

I was invited by a work colleague to join him and some local friends here for dinner. We sat by the window and had a really enjoyable evening. They knew the staff, but all the same they were really friendly. The food was excellent, fantastic salad, pumkin chicken, beef - wow! By the sounds this place is busy every night,... More

Visited as part of a business trip, and was chosen by my boss who is very particular about where he eats. We made a reservation based on reviews, and were given a table by the entrance. It's a smallish restaurant, but fits in with the niche nature. We started off by looking at the menu, but then asked the waitress... More

I do not have experience outside of this restaurant with Burmese food, but I liked everything I’ve tasted on each visit. Both of those times were with business colleagues and we shared family style, so we covered a fair portion of the menu. On both visits we started with the coconut chicken soup, and I expect on my next visit... More
