It was unusually hot, made me think it'd been microwaved with a couple of fresh prawns on top. Had an unusual flavor and mushy. Woke up feeling quite bad a few hours later and spent the night throwing up. I was told the game hen was a delight and the other dishes looked okay.

First visit for lunch, friendly staff that allowed us time for friends to chat without rushing the food. The risotto with shrimp was fabulous!

Great menu tasty food excellent and most friendly service. Full bar and great wine selection. I go here on my own when out of town guests come to visit me or just to even hang by the bar, at any rate each time I come here I'm treated like family and I mean family! This was our first time in this Mediterranean restaurant. Great experience - good food; we enjoyed their steak and the Greek salad and the paella. The veal piccata was also excellent. Service was above par. We brought our own wine - but there were 4 of us and one bottle did not last long. We'll be back and we'll make... More

We have been there a couple of times. The ambiance, food presentation and service is quite good. It can get on the noisy side, but if you ask to sit by the window, it is the perfect spot for a nice conversation.

In SFO area on business and a ex colleague recently moved to Burlingame and met up for a meal. #1 or 2 on Open Table and good reviews on here as well so thought I'd try it although I'm picky with Italian food (and European). Awesome experience. Great food and service, very traditional atmosphere although a little quiet. Only let... More

I visit the Bay area frequently, and usually stay in Burlingame. I happened upon Trapeze several weeks ago for a business dinner and had the pasta with clam sauce, which was very good. About a week ago, I returned and had one of the best steaks I've ever ordered. I arrived at Trapeze in a carnivorous mood. On the menu... More

We were on a business trip, staying in Burlingame for the meetings. One evening, we took the town trolley shuttle to downtown. Not far from the train station, we found this restaurant with sidewalk tables. It turned out to have excellent service, fresh salads, and nicely done, good food. It has a definite European atmosphere, much like the street cafes... More
