I have been to Porto's a few times as I live right down the street. I have no idea why it is always crowded and raved about. I have NOT had pastries from there so I cannot comment on that. However, I have gone for lunch and had there sandwiches and I am not at all impressed. Hard bread, little... More

The locals already know a good thing. That's why Porto's is always busy, and returning guests know their wait in line is worth it. Even so, Porto's does a good job of getting everyone through the line as quickly as possible. For dine-in visitors its a good idea to grab a table first, have someone hold it and then get... More

Loved it, loved it, loved it. Wish we had one of these at home. I thought getting a dozen of this and that would be enough. Not so. I hope they mail deliver. My family wants more!!!! People say there are lines, well it's worth waiting. The atmosphere is a plus. If anything, go for the FOOD!! i wanted to... More

We have been to Porto's many times before and love their sandwiches and other Cuban dishes. But we really go there for their baked goods. They have great pastries and desserts which is obvious when you see them in the bakery cases and see the lines for the bakery. Try the guava & cheese strudel, empanadas, meat pies, and breads.... When we arrived there was a line out the door but it was well worth the wait. We bought the midnight sandwiches and dessert to go and took it home for a great lunch that even the dog got to enjoy bites of. The tiramisu wasn't what I call the best but I did enjoy it. The carrot cake was... More

Simply the best bakery around. It's always packed but the lines go fast. I hve been there for breakfast and lunch and my personal favorite is the cuban sandwich and the chicken croquettes

Family told us we HAD to try Porto's while in the area. The line out the door made us hesitate a bit, but it moved quickly. This restaurant/bakery was wonderful. The baked goods are displayed in cases and look delicious. We wanted to try everything. We ate sandwiches for lunch which were very good and offered at a very reasonable... More

Our first experience with Porto's food was pastries and cakes. People drive 60+ miles from the Antelope Valley for their special sweet treats for their parties. We however decided we would try their top rated restaurant in Burbank after a basketball game. Haven't tried Cuban food? Gotta do it. I had the Cubana Sandwich and its plantain chips for $5.50.... It's a place to grab sandwiches and other bakery goods for a family meal, but a LOT of people go there. I remember there was a line lasting to the parking lot. That's how good the food is! Though get there early!
