Porto's is the bomb

The absolute best pastry shop in LA county. It's literally ALL good. The long line moves super fast and gives you time to look at all the beautiful food.

We were there after a drive in the San Gabriel Mountains and could not believe the line of people to get in. After eating there I could see why. Definitely family friendly. There is an amazing selection of sandwiches, and do have soups. Sandwiches are accompanied by fried plantains rather than french fries. Basically a Cuban fast food restaurant. The... More

I was in LA with my son for several days and every time I drove by it was always busy so I decided I better check it out. The lines were kind of long but it was very organized and went really fast. So many things to choose from it was hard to decide. Prices were very reasonable. I got... More

The el pollo sandwich and roasted pork sandwich are delicious. There is a reason the lines are so long- the bakery items are tasty, fresh and in expensive. The lines move quickly and the staff is friendly.

I knew I'd be picking my sister up at Bob Hope Airport so I looked up a place to have breakfast before leaving Bakersfield. Yup! You guessed it, we ate at Porto's. There were four of us. Everything we ordered was scrumptious! It was Saturday mid-morning, probably their busiest time of the week, but the line moved fast and there... More

The food, pastries and coffee are great. Just too much business for the space and staffing. They brought the wrong order for one of my party and did not bring our coffee until we complained. Not going back

Usually when in town we stop here for bakery products like guava cheese rolls, cheese danish, eclairs, choc chip cookies, egg bread, italian bread and rolls, crumb cake, cheese rolls, and just about any other sweets. We also like to get one or more of their cuban sandwiches, meat pies, stuffed potatoes and banana chips. omg, we usually spend a... More

There are only two Portos that I know of. There's one in Glendale and one in Burbank. I'm an avid visitor. Both are identical as far as the food quality goes and both have very long lines normally. Despite the long lines, it's a good place for fairly quick and inexpensive food. And it is always high quality. Try to... More

The cakes and pastries are simply Devine; they show real artistry and taste amazing. The staff were extremely helpful and eager to please. I also sampled a meat filled pastie. Very nice. No wonder there was such s line up !

In the pouring rain my husband and I walked to have brunch and wet as we were end up sunnier leaving! Happy choices for all. Great brunch, music, service and location. Parking close by and good coffee and tea to boot. Fancier places, yes. More homey, no. Felt like I made the right decision for a rainy- Seattle Sunday! No... More
