Fabulous fresh fish.

I always order the clam chowder for close to 20 years. It had been the very best, but the changed the recipe and I had to send it back. We always love the steamed clams and that did not change. My wife had 28 clams in a great garlic soup and it was great. Except for the change in the... read more

funky in the bad way, like you want to take a shower after walking in. the service was terrible - you'd think at their age they'd have some skills. anyways, we fought the urge to immediately leave to try 'the best steak in the world' and regretted it. every time we drive by now we laugh at how gullible we... On the flight to Burbank last night, a very classy, friendly long time resident of the area asked my friend and I about ourselves and reason for our trip. It was business. She let us know about this place. After a long day at work, this place was a sure pleasure. We passed it up at first. It is completely... More

The Ramp is right next to the Hollywood Way off ramp which makes it a bit tricky to get there. I've eaten there 4 times. 2 times the food was great, 2 times the food was passable. There is a bar that is larger than the restaurant and gets really noisy during sports season.

Waiting for a flight here I found this place. Very unassuming from the exterior. Warm & friendly interior. Great steak sandwich and the best onion rings I have had in years. Right off I-5 on Hollywood off ramp. 1 mile from Burbank airport. Great friendly staff and very good food.

The Ramp is a local Burbank watering hole and restaurant. On my last visit Gary (former mayor of Burbank, current councilman) was tending bar. We spent the better part of 2 hours swapping war stories about everything from the FAA to Burbank Airport. He's an interesting guy and I'm glad I know him. Stop by sometime, the staff is good... My family ate here early on a Friday night. Clearly, this is a local hangout, since quite a few obvious regular customers came in while we were eating. We all ordered steaks, and they were very good - well seasoned and grilled exactly as requested. We ordered the mushroom appetizer and the clam chowder. Both were excellent. The generous plate... I returned here on another trip to Southern California. Hard to beat the food here. A real local favorite. The place looks like a neighborhood beer bar but the food is fine dining. Not a lot atmosphere other than the familiarity of patrons with staff. A historical note is that this place is the last remaining hangout that was favored... More

I had a bad experience a couple of years back at The Ramp so I've stayed away. A friend convinced me to give a try again, and I'm glad I did. The Filet mignon was one of the best steaks I've had in years at a decent price. The ambiance is classic 70's steak house and the service is friendly,... More

It's a tough little find right there in the open because of the freeway ramp but worth the trouble. What a great little hideaway. I had fresh halibut that was grilled perfectly with a stuffed baked potato and mixed vegi's plus a Cesar side salad. An excellent meal and very reasonably priced. What sets Gary's apart is the staff. I... More
