Classic Diner in LA

This place brings you back, and for me brings me back to something my parents must have grown up with. This place is a classic and there are few of these relics left across the US. Everyone loves a "Bob's Big Boy" but this one has all the charm of the 1950's. You really need to stop here and... read more

Had a quick dinner with my husband on a road trip. Place was very busy with lots of families. We ordered the cod fish and chips which was really good, hot and tasty as well as the chicken fried chicken and mashed potatoes also nicely done. Fast, polite service. Brought back great childhood memories of going there.

The original Bob's Big Boy. I thought they were all gone. Glad to see one after all those years. Got to go there.

If you are looking for a great breakfast and don't want to traipse all over the Valley, head to Bob's!!! I was very impressed. Not just for burgers and shakes anymore

If your in the area stop by, while the food is a throwback, it is still worth the experience. Sometimes you'll see studio folks and on weekends you can see a lot of classic cars too. Have a classic Big Boy combo and a chocolate malt, Pappy's Chicken, or the Fried Shrimp. On the way out get a souvenir tee... More

Either Bob's Big Boy has changed recipes or suppliers, or I've been spoiled by In-n-Out. Bob's burgers were amazing when I was a kid; now they are just mediocre.

While I'm glad you enjoyed our burgers as a kid, I'm understandably bummed to hear you don't feel they're the same anymore. We're still using quality ingredients and are cooking them up fresh, so I hope you'll give us another opportunity to show you we're truly the Bob's you remember! We were in LA 30 years ago and experienced the Bob's Big chilli chain of resaurants, we made a bee-line for the last remaining one on this trip. A nostalgic trip into 60's diners, excellent! Had to order the signature chilli and was not disappointed, well worth a visit if you are in LA.

What can you say? Bobs Big Boy was the best and this is one of the few left and an original location. Friday's still have the antique car shows and you still get a Big Boy for less than $10. Don't forget the original Bobs Big Boy blue cheese dressing for your salad or to dip your fries in!

we like to stop here for lunch when we are in the LA area. it is so retro and the food is classic diner food. Nothing like a good burger and fries, and a cherry coke!

Nostalgic and still great. I grew up going to the Bobs in Glendale. Burbank was the next town over and had a competing football team. So we avoided Burbank. Unfortunately there are few authentic Bobs left. We went to Bobs for lunch today. The thousand island and blue cheese dressings are unchanged. Same with the hamburger. It was a very... More
