This is a great restaurant for the entire family. The food is good for this type of establishment. I really enjoyed the starter soup and thought it had good flavor. My steak was cooked perfectly and was nice and tender. The decor is interesting and there is something new to see around each corner. If it's fancy dinning you want,... More

Had dinner there July 2nd due to a recommendation from the guy at the front desk of our timeshare. It wasn't very crowded so we got right in. They brought a pot of bean/vegetable soup as the appetizer which was really great. Since the soup was so good and filling we decided to split a meal. I wanted the half... More

When you are seated they bring you a small cast iron pan of soup. Along with the soup comes beans and salsa you can add to your soup. Somewhere around here you order your meal. Then a salad comes along. Hopefully you know that there will be more food than you should eat and youve saved up your appetite. I... More

Just passing through Buellton at dinner time and ended up here. We had a five minute wait and read the menu. At first glance, it appeared to be quite pricey. But after studying the menu, we discovered that most of the high priced entrees had over a pound of meat! Plus all of the many sides that automatically come with... More

Busiest place in Buellton on a Friday night, and the sun was still up! The wait was approx 30 minutes so we opted to check out the bar for a table and some grub. There was a huge booth in the back corner and no one was in it so we hustled our way through the crowd of folks in... More

I used to eat at this restaurant frequently in the 90's and had fond memories. However, it has not changed and I have grown. There is NO option to eat light. All meals come with soup (that tasted like Dinty Moore beef), potatoes soaked in onion and grease and a liqueur or root beer float. My ribs were fatty and... More

Good soup for starters. All the entrees are heavy on the meat. Excellent dessert. Would have liked to see more salads or vegetables offered. Heavy entrees.

We always have dinner at A.J. Spur's when we go to Solvang. We have been going there for many years. Their food is delicious (especially the vegetable beef soup). Everything they have is delicious & they have excellent service. Very nice & interesting decor. We really love it!!

Me and 3 other people went into A.J. Spurs for a quick dinner, before going to a concert. I mentioned that we were on a schedule and needed to expedite dinner. Promptly a nice waitress was at our table and she did great in getting us out of there to get to the concert on time. AND, my steak was... More

This is a great restaurant and a good value. The dinner included soup, salad, entree, rice, potatoes and either an after-dinner drink or root beer float. You will not leave hungry. The service was a little slow due to the crowd on a Saturday night. However, the server was very friendly and working as hard as she could. The soup... More
