Had a group of 6 eat breakfast for dinner. The omelets were great but the order of Danish pancakes was overcooked. Thin pancakes like normal Danish pancakes but cooked to a crisp. The bisques and gravy were good and the service was great.

Took a quick look at the other popular breakfast place in Buellton and decided to come here instead based on their specials. The ham hocks special was very tender and flavorful, a touch salty for me, but good nonetheless. Definitely get them and the Danish pancakes as who knows when you'll get another chance! The coffee was great when we... More

The Danish pancakes are the best around, omelets are quite good, and the staff is warm and attentive... all in all the best choice for breakfast in the valley.

Danish pancakes and sausage are the best. Try the Strawberry pancakes. When the plate first arrived, it looked overwhelming but the pancakes are light (like a crepe) and VERY worth it! I ate every last bite!

We are weekend fixtures at Ellen's. We have tried practically everything on the menu along with some of the specials. All wonderful. If you are in the area it is a must stop for the real deal.

We ate a late breakfast (10:30am) on a beautiful Sunday morning. After a 10-minute wait (well worth it), our party of 5 was seated and immediately served coffee, water, etc. The food came out promptly in spite of the jammed restaurant and the service was ultra-friendly. Food at our table ranged from pancakes to corned-beef hash to omelets and all... More

We had the Danish pancakes, the American pancakes and an omelet. The food was fantastic, especially their homemade jams. If you like thin pancakes, order the Danish ones, which come with powder sugar on top. If you like them thicker, order the American. Also, the staff was extremely courteous and attentive. We will definitely be back.

It's busy and lots of noise but boy is it good. I worry about trying to get in on Sunday but it always seems like we pass through on Sunday morning. I have to admit, I'm hooked on the Danish Pancakes and Danish Sausage. Can't get past the heavy spices in most restaurant sausage but Ellen has the secret formula.... More

A Solvang original that ended up in downtown Buellton, Ellen's IS the perfect place to have breakfast. Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly. The bacon, the eggs, the hash browns the blueberry french toast! It was wonderful. EVERYONE around us appeared to be enjoying their breakfast. A short survey of people on the way out confirmed that EVERYONE loved the... More
