Was it 90 degrees outside? Yes. Did I still get soup anyway? Yes. Yes, I did. I really don't like soup when its hot out but I like me some split pea soup and I have never had Andersen's before. Since I was in town I pretty much had to stop and try it. It was super yummy, especially considering... More

This is an old fashioned 'road side attraction/rest place for weary motorists'. Friendly service, clean establishment serving filling split pea soup and a varied menu. The food is good, but nothing special. This place definitely serves up a large portion of nostalgia and is worth a visit.

Both my wife and I went to the restaurant as kids, and it had been about 15 years since we had been in this area. Had to go get Split Pea Soup. It brought back memories in both of us, which is all you can ask for in a restaurant. The Pea soup is as good as ever. Service was... More

After frequently seeing billboards for this place during her youth, my wife finally gets to eat at Andersen's Pea Soup. Went there for breakfast on our way home. Who knew you could have pea soup before your pancakes, eggs, and bacon! The food was good. We also enjoyed the history of the place and family upstairs.

For the best ever split pea soup this is the place to stop and enjoy a meal. This is a long standing historic restaurant, Food is absolutely great. Staff are all friendly and you get great service. You can find their soup in most supermarkets but it is just not the same as stopping here and enjoying at the true... More

The soup is what they are know for but the Bread Pudding is amazing with cinnamon, raisins & the most delicious sauce. They need to give this recipe to their restaurant in Santa Nella who had really inferior bread pudding.

The decor here is interesting and the store upon entry is fun, but I found the food to be just OK. I had a tuna salad and it was enormous. The salad chunks were cut way too big, but it tasted fine. Service was good. There seemed to be a lot of seniors eating there on the night I visited,... More

We read a lot of reviews about how this is a touristy destination. I would liken it to a Dutch-inspired Cracker Barrel with its quirky (fun) gift shop. There is a Christmas Shoppe, too! The menu and the environment are typical of a diner. The pea soup was very good, although I strongly recommend all the toppings. Two of us... More
