Order the tri-tip when available!

Not on the regular menu but on a recent Sunday a tri-tip sandwich was the daily special. One of the best tri-tip sandwiches I have had - very tasty and decent size. My friends and I like to visit this restaurant whenever hiking around the area. It's popular among the locals as well as tourists (many drawn by the big bill board signs on the nearby highways). Their "Traveler's Breakfast Special" is my favorite hearty breakfast that also includes their famous pea soup -- ideal for those hungry after a good morning... More

the place looks old and in a need for renovation. The food is not very exciting and tired! The service was also kind of slow.

Food was very tasty and service was attentive. Good value. There is also an extensive gift shop. Upstairs is a little museum dedicated to the history of the area and Pea Soup Anderson's. A little bit of a time warp that made for a wonderful experience

Coming from Australia, we wanted to try the pea soup, and it didn't disappoint. The gift shop is kinda cool, and the restaurant is out the back. I can honestly say that the pea soup is the best I've ever had. We had the all-you-can-eat soup deal, which was great value, but we only managed 2 bowls. The apple pie... More

We stopped for a quick lunch and were delighted that we did. The pea soup and 1/2 sandwich option fit our needs perfectly. The pea soup was excellent and so good on a cool, breezy day. Service was prompt, professional and friendly. Thanks to all!

This is a classic tourist restaurant - lots of billboards, and a gift shop you have to walk through to get to the restaurant itself. We stopped here for an early lunch and fortunately ordered the soup and salad combo instead of the all you can eat pea soup. The salad was good, but the soup was a strange color... More

The Pea soup isn't split pea...it's more like watered down baby food, and it's tasteless. At $6.50 for a bowl it's a rip off. The hot turkey sandwich made with the driest turkey I have ever eaten and the mashed potatoes had a dried crust on the outside like they were yesterdays. We are just heading home from a trip... I love their hearthy pea soup after doing wine tasting in the Lompoc area. We come here before we drive back to LA

Stopped here for a trip down memory lane. The food was great, and the soup was just as wonderful as I remembered it. The last time I was here, I was probably 10 years old, but so glad I stopped.
