My parents have been talking about this place for years, and we finally made it through this part of SoCal to stop here. The food was very good, my dad and I got the "Travelers Special" which is all you can eat pea soup, and bread, and my mom got The Count of Monte Cristo sandwich. The pea soup is... More

Like their restaurant in Santa Nella, California, we occasionally would stop in for a bite to eat or to brows in their bakery and gift shops. Your seated at one of the many “booths” before being handed one of their menu’s, which features an enormous variety of food from breakfast to dinner and of course their “all you can eat... More

We went to Pea Soup Anderson's on Sunday evening at about 6 on June 29th 2014. Our group had the fried chicken dinner, a hamburger, a hot turkey sandwich, and a salad. The chicken was good. Like you would like it to be. But the good stopped there. The turkey sandwich was dry, dry, dry, dry. The hamburger was way... More

I grew up in Buellton, and had been there once since about 10 years ago. We just came thru town again and decided to stop for lunch.. The service was fine, but the soup sure isn't what it used to be. It was flavorless, thick like it had been reheated too many times and I used to eat 2 or... More

I have been going to Pea Soup Anderson's since I was a child. My parents took us up and down the coast camping and exploring California. It was always a treat to stop in at the Buellton location or the old Carlsbad location and devour a bowl of pea soup. Both the brown bread and the onion cheese bread are... More

A Central Coast Icon forever, but first time I had been there. 'Everything for the Traveler' is a true & correct statement! Gift shop with everything you can imagine. Huge, coffee shop style restaurant, large portions, very busy place. A fun place to check out.

I grew up having to eat pea soup from Andersens. I grew to absolutely love it. Even my 16 year old son loves it. It is a great consistency and is so flavorful. I do not like Peas, but I love this soup. My husband got the pot pie. It was huge with huge chunks of chicken. This is just... More

The pea soup and onion bread was delicious. Try the Danish sausage appetizer. It's different but good.

I have always loved the Pea Soup and rolls at this restaurant, but the bread we got here was terrible. Stale and almost moldy tasting. We were told they only serve the rolls/biscuits at their Santa Nella location. The soup was good - bread, not so much. Perhaps they get it from a day-old bakery?

My wife and I were up the Central Coast for my birthday in May, 2014. We'd been to PSA in Santa Nella on the way to Reno last year, but decided to drive the 51 miles from Pismo Beach, Ca. down to Buellton. Pros: They're all pros, there are no cons. Period. They make the definitive pea soup. The toppings... More
