I've been coming to Andersen's since the late 50's! The food is always good. If I was younger. I would have ordered the all you can eat pea soup! We had the pea soup in a bread bowl with all the trimmings and it was wonderful as usual! Thanks HAP-PEA & PEA-WEE, for a delicious good time. The gift shop... More

I live in Ohio, but love to vacation in California, and on recent vacation there I’ve noticed signs advertizing the Andersen Inn’s world famous split-pea soup, and ever few mile along highway 101 there are signs promoting it. I had never driven far enough South on 101 to reach the Andersen Inn, which is located in Buellton, California, but in... More

Stopped by to try the Pea Soup because it is a known traveler's stop restaurant. Also stopped by to say we were there. Of course we tried the pea soup, along with a sandwich. It was fun because of the cuteness of it and a place to say you have visited. The food was good, pea soup good, environment ok.... More

World class restaurant as to menu, choices, portions, service, hours, price. A long history of casual dining offerings in California. We ate there daily even though we had to drive a few minutes from another town's visit. Food the way it was served before restaurants began specializing in everything except food. Wish I could live near one of the two... More

Since we just needed a light dinner and we had an unpleasant experience in Solvang Brewing Company restaurant, my husband and I decided to find another restaurant and found Pea Soup Andersen's Restaurant in Buellton only 3 miles away from Solvang - and they open until 10PM! We got friendly service and we really enjoy our pea soup served in... More

I love Anderson's pea soup. Whenever my family travels from Southern California to Central or Northern California we make it a point to stop for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Service is friendly and efficient, food is hot and delicious (especially the pea soup) and we love the items that they sell in the shop. There is a wide range from... More

I was on my way from San Francisco to Santa Monica and saw a big outdoor and decided to try the famous pea soap. It would have been a huge mistake if I had not stopped. I highly recommend; I am a fan of split pea soup and can honestly claim this is the best I have ever tried. They... More

We were staying at Pea Soup Andersons and decided to eat at their in-house restaurant. The prices were good and the food was good. I wouldn't consider their food spectacular, but we were just looking for a nice meal with good service and that is what we got. It is close to home cooking. Their menu is actually pretty extensive... Was it 90 degrees outside? Yes. Did I still get soup anyway? Yes. Yes, I did. I really don't like soup when its hot out but I like me some split pea soup and I have never had Andersen's before. Since I was in town I pretty much had to stop and try it. It was super yummy, especially considering... More
