Great Old Place!

We stop here on our way north and south on the 101. The place is right out of history. The pea soup is great, it is not prepared as I remember as a kid. The peas are not to be found, and my mother always included ham. The soup was very good however. The chicken strip appetizer was nothing to... read more

We stopped here for the soup. The soup is as good as expected. Even my kids loved it! Creamy and tasty. The best value is the endless soup Bowl with fixings. It's super inexpensive and very filling. I recommend to anyone who likes pea soup. There r folks commenting on the color of the soup and taste. It's pea soup... More

When my husband and I visited Solvang last month, I saw a pea soup restaurant and remembered having eaten incredibly good pea soup when I visited a friend in Santa Barbara 45 years ago. The soup was as good as I remembered it to be. My husband loves pea soup and said that this soup was one of the best... More

Yummy food! Loved the Split pea soup but other entrees were very tasty. Fresh greens and tomatoes. Delicious breads with an awesome cheddar cheese spread. The manager was extremely gracious stopped by our table to ask if the food was ok etc. great gift shop. We bought cans of the split pea soup to bring back home to friends.

I couldn't believe anyone would name a restaurant after pea soup, so I had to try it. The soup is very good. I also had a Danish sausage that was very good. Staff is attentive, and prices are reasonable. Gift shop and hotel are at the same location.

A staple for highway travelers for decades. You see the signs going both North and South of Buellton. The food is typical diner style food but the difference here is that you can get Anderson's Split Pea Soup and homemade bread, both fresh and hot. Living here, I don't go here knowing that I can basically get the same meal... More

Welcoming atmosphere, very solicitous staff, great pea soup (of course), large portion sizes. Stayed at the hotel next door - also very nice & a bargain compared to nearby Solvang. Ate here breakfast & dinner both days.

Andersen's Pea Soup Restaurant was on our bucket list. I first learned of it on one of those TV Shows about food. We were returning to AZ from NAPA Valley when we realize we're near it! Pull of the freeway and stop the car! It was easy to find and had clean restrooms. Therefore, this place has to be clean!... More

I ate here when I was a young kid and I'm in my 40's now and this place hasn't changed a bit. Love the throw back diner feel. There's a kitchy gift shop inside which is as big as the dining floor. We had the Monte Cristo and it tasted just like a Monte Cristo should. The soup is pureed,... More

On a weekend visit to Solvang, we stayed in Quality Inn in Buellton and ate our Saturday lunch at Andersen's Pea Soup Restaurant. I opted for all you can eat Pea soup but my family chose Chicken burger, chicken sandwich and fried chicken with mashed potato. They are all good. We actually did not expect that quality for the food... More
