I have gone here since my dad took me back when I was little. I'm now approaching 70 and the Split Pea soup still tastes the same! Love it!

I have been stopping here off and on for years when I am going down south. They have 2 sides to the restaurant. One side is more of a cafe and the other is more of a dinner spot. The cafe has a large selection of meals and I have yet to get a bad meal. The Dinner side is... More

The rating would have been higher had there not been some issues. The place seemed barren, with only a few patrons dining in. The "world famous pea soup" wasn't what I expected it to be. It was rather bland and clumpy. Adding the seasoning salt provided at the table for you didn't help much. The tuna sandwich was served on... More

This is a place that reminds one of restaurants from the 1960s. Lots of different menu selections; similar to diner selections. Plentiful servings. Reasonably-priced. Their signature dish is the rich and creamy pea soup. You need to try it at least once. It's different than what you'd make yourself, or could get anyplace else. There's a "kitschy" gift shop and... Pea Soup Anderson's is a Santa Barbara County institution. This is the place to pull off the highway for a no nonsense lunch of terrific pea soup, a sandwich or salad - they call it the "Traveler's Special". It is also the traditional half-way place where North County friends meet South County friends. There is a child's menu available along... More

I was here years ago for the pea soup, nice to be back again. It was good, happened to be close to where we were staying so the location worked. Popular local and tourist spot. Enjoyable!

Not on the regular menu but on a recent Sunday a tri-tip sandwich was the daily special. One of the best tri-tip sandwiches I have had - very tasty and decent size. The pea soup is still very good as well. Service was good from the host to the server to checkout. Prices are typical for a tourist road side... More

My friends and I like to visit this restaurant whenever hiking around the area. It's popular among the locals as well as tourists (many drawn by the big bill board signs on the nearby highways). Their "Traveler's Breakfast Special" is my favorite hearty breakfast that also includes their famous pea soup -- ideal for those hungry after a good morning... More

the place looks old and in a need for renovation. The food is not very exciting and tired! The service was also kind of slow.
